Popular Post Kaolin washer
Went out for a short hunt with the cheep bounty Hunter Tracker 4 and found a nice 925 chain& 925 pendant I was going along in all metal and checking in tone and I said this has got to be some junk foil but up comes that glimmering chain, which i cut thru with my digger , it was silver and about 2" deep . I was also impressed with the depth i was getting on the dimes and quarters 4 to 6" inches they have sat in the ground a wile
Valens Legacy
Those silver chains cut very easily, but can be fixed like new at almost any jeweler. Good luck on your next hunt and you got to love that old tech on that detector.

I have most of them and find almost no difference between the 4 inch gold coil and the 10 inch coil.
Kaolin washer
I use the 8" concentric, I dont know if the 10 is deeper what do you think?
Valens Legacy
Depending where I am using it at, I have found many amounts of coins at almost 12 inches deep. Those areas I had the sense turned up and was digging almost every target. Most of those coins were silver and there were a lot of quarters in the mix. The small gold coil that I have used really didn't do much for me when I would go back over those same areas so I have stayed with the larger coil on the IV. When I am at some of the parks with different soil I get maybe 6 inches deep, so I like the fields and creeks better.
dig4gold
Nice finds. Good chance the broken chain is the reason it got lost. You most likely didn't cut it through. D4G
