That being said, you have made a good point, it is not always easy or possible to do ID's from just pictures. What does a scratch test show? Can you scratch them with a knife? Simple things like scratch test, hardness, weight, location, circumstance (how it was found) and such. El D; I do expect a booby prize for being first to identify the dime.
