Me thinks our very recent member here may know a little more about Finders demise than he he lets on.

Just got back from O S and have a problem with the supplied ML headphones for my 6000. The Bluetooth refuses to pair. Up until now I was quite happy with the set up being clear and with plenty of volume, but It is either send the phones back to ML (maybe the detector TX is at fault), use my Quest Wireless Mate system with Aldi Bauhn noise cancelling headphones, or Bose NC ear buds. The options are workable, but not quite as loud. The one negative with the factory phones is that they are susceptible to wind noise.

jasong, I can vouch for the fact that James does in fact prospect unproven ground with that monster coil and has success with it.

I got Covid three months ago and still not back to where I was before, but getting there.

Simon, if you stop fossicking and flogging the same old spots you might turn up something decent. You have an amazing mapping system. Start using it.

What's all this rubbish I read about young Steve thinking he's getting old? Still wet behind the ears! When I was a young bloke I used to be able to pee over a six foot fence. Now I have trouble avoiding my boots, but, I can still swing a coil. An all terrain mobility scooter to tow a coil might be on the drawing board for the future. It could be a project for Beatty and me. All we need then is some young buck to dig the signals. Let's not hear any more of this getting old crap. Remember, you are only as old as what you're feeling. (think about it)

Confidence in your detector is paramount. When you have it, gold is the result. I love my 6000 and can't believe the depth that the small 11" coil gives me. Fly poop detector??? Haaa!

Well done and no doubt the 6000 will soon pay for its self and then you are in the profit zone. Good feeling.

Over a gram and it's a nugget? Spare me! A nugget is over twenty ounces. Anything less is a bit, lump, or in my case, a colour. Next thing a speck will be called a nugget. Get real.

Saw it on its release in Bendigo. Very dark, but not the worst movie I've seen. Apocalyptic.

Gold Catcher, there must be a fault with your Bose ear buds as mine have no touch sensitivity at all.

The 6000 headphones are good until it gets windy. Bose noise cancelling buds are great but expensive.

Thanks folks. Because the 6000 is so light and ticks all the boxes for me I can still get out and hunt the good colours. Lots of small bits turn up and they are documented and photographed, so please don't think that I only find bigger gold. If I find the occasionally interesting bit my prospecting buddy James encourages me to put it on Steve's forum, as, lets face it, this is the world's best electronic gold prospecting forum. To all my prospecting friends world wide, I ask a little favour. I really have got to love the 6000 as it suits my style of detecting. The signal response is very good, light weight means I can swing it for longer periods, and it has surprising depth capability, even with the smaller coil. My thanks to James Beatty and Jannine Bennett for the great photos, and my farmer friend John for access to his property.

Partnerships can be a tricky thing. A good one is brilliant and can produce results that working alone simply cannot achieve. I have had a couple that were less than desirable, and others that were a hoot, providing laughs and loot. I got better at picking winners as I got older.
