Its a 3 freq VLF Ivan. That Coiltek 6" round is a must have for any Eureka or 18000 owner. ML used to offer this size coil and had a brain fart when they discontinued it. Almost matches GB2 performance in mild ground and shames it in hot ground. The trick with this machine is to GB in each freq (from low to high) when starting out.

I clean almost all my gold. Since most Nevada has clays and or caliche. If an ultrasonic vinegar and a bit of salt bath don't do it I start using stronger acids. A hard water stain cleaner that works well is Lime Out (not limeaway). Wink will remove rock, its a week hydrofluoric acid. Some don't need a thing,

So much of the historical data is lost. It's bluntly obvious when you compare the topo's from the 40's to today. Imho, its critical to start old and finish new when researching. Its these new maps (topo's) that the poi's (points of interest) are gleaned from. Whole mining districts have "vanished". Must be the ink costs.....

Best part is Land Matters is FREE! But do donate what you can! The private property lines that border Public lands rarely change. So that old data is still valid for most uses.

Any puffer can be made to run Mexican style. Frankly I don't know why folks use cranks or pull cords when a leaver is so much less effort. Here is how you deal with a dead battery or in this case a broken motor mount.

When describing economic stream placers. It stand to reason that there would be far more locations where "a few veins" scattered trace amounts. These areas are what I call the "lone/few" nugget patches.

ML could use the WM 12/10 wireless transmitters to export data. It would be sweet to mash a few buttons on the CTX/GPZ and send the Geo Store contents to my mobil devices wirelessly. I can do this with my 4 year old Cannon camera.

Some of those trackers are so small they can easily slip into a control box cover, or inside a housing like the CTX or GPZ. Seems we hear about Ozzie hired detectors not getting turned in often enough to warrant a tracker installed.

Im not concerned with hackers, as much as trackers. It's getting cheep to slap a hidden GPS transmitter on a unsuspecting prospectors rig.

At this point, Im using Xchange. IMHO, Xchange should be a browser based, multi platform app i.e. Mac, Chrome, iOs and droid. Not everyone worships at Redmond....... The easiest way for me to use the mapping program I prefer at this point, is to export data by cut and paste. Tedious when you have a 600+ nugget week............. Oh and a soft carry bag would be great too, If you @ ML can find time to make them during the Go Find roll out....

I do see a week spot on both the GPZ and CTX housing. Falling over forwards or dropped just right, where the head hits first. It's a inherent design compromise when mounting a screen with HMI controls on the handle. The head, may snap off at its connection to the handle. This happened in a fall while climbing out of a steep with my lightweight xTerra, I sat down but let the detector go cartwheeling.

Thats it, Pine sap and 2 stroke gas balm on my 7000 will harden it up. Brilliant correlation Klunker!
