  1. Sentimental but still one of my favorites. BBS Technology. Killer for gold rings on the beach and Civil War buckles and plates. Says no to large iron. I never left home without it in the early 90's. Just got it off flea bay. Nice!
  2. Just find the best settings for your sites and conditions. I would stay away from youtube users of this product. You have got a manual so read it. Everyone wants to fast track. Get's you knowhere even faster. . That's about all I will say.
  3. Why bring Jesus into this mess. That man has enough problems to consider.
  4. I'm tired. Time to go away until I learn more. Take care.
  5. Central Va. is all about the Geology. My crushed basalt driveway goes right to 60 when you place the stock coil on it. Another slab, (Not basalt) reads in the low 20s but when you GB it GB at 81. When I GB the crushed driveway it reads 3. Nice. Enter the wet beach program. Seems to handle the bedrocks allot better after the initial ground balance which was zero. Oh my. My next trip I will use the stock coil and use Wet Beach. Did those tube people every here of turning down the sensitivity?
  6. The basalt base never has liked a multi frequency. Neither does the Legend. Reads 60 when it gets close to the surface, However I only use detectors in the Goldfield mode at these sites and that did the trick using 20khz and Fi disc. pattern. I dug one impressive target that was at pinpointer length with the 5 inch coil. A parasol ring came up. Did not dig any target with a number under 30 as these are mostly foil and small lead. Thats about it for now. Whoever thinks the detector is to slow to react in wall to wall iron certainly needs some more time using the detector. Hope you did well. Let us know. Thanks
  7. I live south of Culpeper so not as hot. I only use a PI in Culpeper or my Blisstool.
  8. Not unhappy with my purchase. Taking it to the "Red Dirt" with the small coil mounted. Colonial permissions loaded with iron. Fun!
  9. Never did Mike. I'm spending my latter years enjoying the grand kids, fishing and an occasional trip to my permissions. Let the UTUBE EXPURTS take over. Oh brother.
  10. You must of been the guy I saw hunting the farm field next to me. Just kidding of course. Those are my favorite kind of finds. Congrats on yours.
  11. I will have to wait on the Legend due to my brick and mortar store only getting 2. No rush.
  12. Mr. High Energy. That's cool. I see a "Folgers" commercial in the future.
  13. Thought the Dude was going to destroy it during unboxing.😁
  14. Sounds good. I'm sure there will also be more Phoenix Buttons in the mix when you hit the trail. Good luck.
  15. Are you aware of the feature to stabilize salt response on the beach. Dilek just did a live vid. Check it out.
  16. Set the pulse delay to 10 us if possible. Must have a manual ground balance . Critical to have a superior set of headphones and if possible a plug in exteral device.
  17. Pi detectors are my thing. Worked on the TDI Project and live in Central Virginia. I have tested for Nokta/ Makro before. I would love to field test this one. I have also used the Eric Foster Golldscan 5c, Minelab SD2200 v2, Minelab GP's 3000,3500, Thracian Mineral Power, and now use the QED. At the beach the Headhunter P. I. and all Whites PI's to include the TDI. Garrett Infinium for relic hunting. I live in the Culpeper Region of Central Virginia. The QED is a great example of how to make an extremely light weight detector which consumes less battery power to function.
  18. It is my believe the field tester should have shared his findings first with the OEM. Since the OEM has always been praised as a company who listens and acts on concerns of their customers. Having the ability to update a detector is why I have confidence this will be addressed.
