  1. I just got one with the help of Rob..... So starting the learning curve .....
  2. Went to a new location today and found outcroppings of these rocks and found heavy mineralized red ground-clay and dark soil...... I was just looking for a future metal detecting ground...... do they have potential for metal detecting (gold) ?
  3. I went to an area today..... And found these rocks everywhere....Gold indicators ?
  4. I just bought a used detector to find gold like this in Arizona.
  5. None of the pieces are gold, they are all lead ...... Deep found lead ......
  6. Rob hooked me up with some new wheels ..... Boxed like new 4500 with 2 years warranty..... Used once ....... Maybe I can find bigger gold now !!!!!!!!
  7. You have to in-vision finding nothing and you will .....
  8. Rob is a good guy.... He is currently helping me in obtaining a GPX 4500 ......
  9. I think I have a better chance of getting an erection than finding a screaming (2 oz.) nugget in Arizona. I have found screaming 10" inch Iron nails that probably sound like a 2 ounce nugget...
  10. I do find some targets..... You have to know your machine and in which area to switch machines. In open ground I use my old Pi SD2200D on regular Disc. Not Disc+ target id .... On a wash close to bedrock I use my XP ORX...... A lot of prospectors think one machine does it all ...... I have yet to dig a grunt target that was gold using my PI. If it grunts it's always a 🐖.
  11. If they scream I don't dig it ...... I also boot swipe and scan again, but gold doesn't scream unless you are in a wash and it sits on top sun baking.
  12. I have arrived at sights man that you have 50 target every 10 square feet ..... Specially at abandoned mines.... But persistence paid off ... The mine is on the last picture in the center red soil area .....
  13. I have the sound programmed into my auditary temporal lobe ..... Everything I dig is lead or nuggets with my old detector...... I can feel and use the quessing game with a bullet case or iron or pull tab ...... Lead and gold using my SD2200D tone sounds equal and even how deep it is, all by sound and headphones. Borrowed a GPX 4500 from a friend yesterday and dug some casings, but the main thing is knowing your detector well....... I dug plenty of lead yesterday..... I have been using my old detector for (5) years and dug thousands of targets.... So I recognize the gold and lead sound...... So it's a 50-50% for me.......
  14. This is what it means to dig every target...... That's a lot..... It took me all day to get these walking miles on top of the Bradshaw Mountains.
  15. Show simple targets you swore were gold. These were 12" inches plus in depth (all lead)....... Found with a borrowed GPX 4500
  16. The last couple of times have been digging deep targets that looks and sounds like gold nuggets..... Even did my happy dance and then the Homer Simpson ...Dooch....
  17. It's all bedrock with 3-4 inches of red beautiful soil and black sand covering and upstream it's beautiful to move boulders and snipe .......... Happy New Prospecting Year 2020 !!!!
  18. I found a silver coin at The Old China Dam in Arizona...... It's a 1909 HU-PEH one dollar coin left there by an old Chinese Prospector in the early years of mining at The Humbug Creek between 1860 and 1930 ....... Found it with the ORX ,,,,,
  19. If you like panning ..... Ha ha .... You will love it here ..... There was a guy there living in a mini van and gold panning every day..... He showed me over 50 grams of flakes...... I couldn't believe it ..... He sleeps in has van and it was 35 degrees last week when I went there .....
  20. It's north of Lake Pleasant, look up The old China Dam Arizona on Google, the Dam is in no map ...... It was built by Chinese prospectors in 1860 ...... The Rich Gulch is about a quarter mile south from The China Dam...... But If you zoom in into the picture I posted from Google Earth The China Dam is North of the Gulch.... You can see it ...... Gold and Relics everywhere found a 1909 China Hupeh One Dollar Silver Coin..... I sold it on ebay within 10 minutes of posting for $300.00..... Then I later found out it was worth over $850.00....... 😞
  21. I took the DD off and put The mono back...... It's just a hotter and effective coil.....
