  1. Welcome from East Texas. Metal Detecting is such a multifaceted thing. A great hobby. You landed in a great spot.
  2. I don't think that is normal. If you are getting a good charge/run time it shouldn't be a problem but I wouldn't keep it charging over 6 hours or so. What capacity charging block are you using?
  3. Excellent. I see where two of the UK Rutus team members have received theirs also. I have been looking forward to this unit.
  4. It looks to me to be a larger than usual oil lamp wick adjuster. Kerosene stove perhaps.
  5. The Pulse Dive does not have any Discrimination capabilities. The soon to be introduced Nokta Accupoint supposedly has Ferrous/Non Ferrous Disc and will be dive capable to some extent.
  6. Wonder where they got the color screen? It's a mishmash.
  7. Maybe they let AI write it! It certainly was not Proof read by any person that knows what they are talking about.
  8. Multi Wet will often give a little lower TID than Multi Dry or the other multis on mid scale targets.
  9. Very nice. Sounds like a great site that seems to have not been detected before.
  10. The indicator will stop stair-stepping when fully charged and remain on the screen with full bars. It is hard to see being so small and is a bit confusing at first.
  11. Welcome from East Texas.
  12. Interesting finds. It's also interesting how familiar places have changed over our lifetimes. I'm 61. Can you imagine what folks from 150 or more years ago would notice? Much would be unrecognizable to them in my locale.
  13. I have one site in boggy ground that is really hard on non Silver coins. I have dug a lot of Buffalo, Liberty Head/V and Shield Nickels there at depth that were 22 TID. Some really deep at 20. Same with Copper Cents. Some as low as 36. Condition wise they aren’t worth digging but of course I do anyway. Part of the reason for the low TIDs is from using mostly M3. The point is that in bad conditions TIDs will suffer. In better ground 25/26 is almost always a Nickel just like Jeff states.
  14. I'm pretty ignorant on wireless stuff. Will these also work with other LL Bluetooth detectors like The Legend?
  15. Welcome from East Texas.
  16. I actually thought about this thread the other day when I was running my AT Max. I sat the detector down and walked 50 or 60feet away to get a drink out of the canteen in the Jeep. The MS 3 HPs stayed connected the whole time though the EMI static volume seemed to fade some. On the other hand it did take 5 or 6 tries to get the AT pin pointer to pair back up with the MS 3 HPs after being paired with the Z Lynk receiver on the Vista X. I'm amazed how well all this wireless stuff works despite the little glitches. Aren't the onboard lights many detectors now sport to shine on the coil LED? I have never used mine.
