  1. That is certainly unusual and in nice condition too. Somebody was pretty particular about exact change.
  2. I have the Legend and think it's great but I still use my Anfibio Multi, often with the Concentric coils.
  3. I assume you two mean using a 2 Box set up to locate Dumps & Hut sites to dig? I have used mine to locate dumps for bottle digging. It doesn't really work too well on locating Privies. Tell us some stories.
  4. Equinox 700 or the Legend will serve you well. One nice feature exclusive to the Legend is being able to have the audio in the external speaker AND Headphones at the same time. I hunt that way with one of my daughters who doesn't like to wear the HPs so I do. We can still talk while I follow her around as she detects to teach her.
  5. I'm not aware of any dials on the Impact. It is all push button if I remember right. Replacing the batteries with a fresh set is good advice & always the first thing to try. If there is a Factory Reset procedure, that should be tried also. Nokta has a very good Service Center that can repair it if need be. The Impact is a very good unit. Very versatile. Welcome to the Forum.
  6. The whole point of my poorly articulated Post was to point out that todays high end detectors like the Legend give us a lot of information about what is under the coil. We/I just need to be able to understand & apply this info. If you know a cleanly Disc'd target will not give a TID, then you know that crappy sounding iffy target that throws up a mid range TID & one way high tone is worth investigating. Virgin sites with easy targets are rare. Most sites only have masked/iffy targets left. Some of these are real keepers if we know the clues to dig them. You also need to know how best to approach a site that has Al trash vs old nails vs higher mineralization. Conditions rule proper detector setup. It is a lot to keep up with & manage.
  7. A horseshoe is about as small a target as a 2 Box will usually pickup on at any depth. I should get my CX II rig out but digging is not as effortless as it use to be.
  8. My go to for Al trash is 4 kHz because it is the least sensitive to the Al trash. 🙃
  9. I was out early this morning in my Test Garden before it got hot to tweak my C Disc pattern for Park mode. I have a new permission that has a good bit of older style pull tabs that were needing some fine tuning from what I had set up using newer pull tabs. If I had noticed this before, I had forgotten, but when a target is cleanly Disc'd/Notched out on the Legend it will not give a TID. The Threshold null will confirm this rejected target. If you have an effective Notch pattern, a co located target will give some audio AND at least an intermittent TID. This is enough information to stop and thoroughly interrogate the target. The TID will probably be bouncing from good Coin to the Notch but trust the Audio if it is more than a Pop, that something is there to dig on a hard hit site. I also reminded myself how critical it is to go unnaturally slow in sweeping the coil. Still experimenting with 4 kHz vs M3 & Beach Mode to dull the Al trash and Recovery speed for deeper targets. Still evaluating low mineral vs high mineral performance for Al trash Park hunting.
  10. It is a detector so good it takes two boxes to haul all the treasure it finds back to the truck.
  11. The Base model comes with a HP Dongle for your wired HPs. They also have an accessory wireless receiver unit.
  12. No USA dealers but Rutus is available from the UK.
  13. The Users Manuel is available now also, but only in Polish. English not available yet.
  14. A modern .58 cal Minie bullet cast of dead soft Lead is 510 grains in weight. A Civil War era original should be the same or very close. .58 cal was the most common size but there were also .54, .56 and even .69 Minie bullets.
  15. Those big feet should have warned you. Beautiful dog.
  16. The Proverbial “Saturday Night Special” throw away gun. Good thinking on a place to explore.
  17. Thanks Chuck for the perspective. Children aren't always shiny but they are unique jewels.
  18. Some real Recovery is her need whether she realizes it or not.
  19. That is fun indeed. Sounds like a great club.
  20. Impressive hunt for sure. Interesting about the TID changing so much with constant detector settings. Is there a large corresponding change in ground conditions?
  21. Gerry is spot on as always. I talked to John at length on the telephone when I ordered my first pair directly from him. Super nice fellow. His Killer Bs are still made like they should be. Wasp and Hornet for me.
