First Prototype Axiom Cover- What Do You Think?
Gold Seeker replied to Doc's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
Here's a way to get the cover and make it your color. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Jacquard-Textile-Color-2-25-oz-Orange-Fabric-Dye/39107912?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=101193387&adid=22222222222000000000&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=e&wl1=o&wl2=c&wl3=10352200394&wl4=pla-1103028060075&wl5=&wl6=&wl7=&wl10=Walmart&wl11=Online&wl12=39107912_10001212748&wl14=blaze orange fabric dye&veh=sem&gclid=986cf590236d19de022091161a31f5bf&gclsrc=3p.ds&msclkid=986cf590236d19de022091161a31f5bf -
Yes I'm sure it is since it's coming from a pipe, I'm willing to bet it's coming from a underground spring. My father and I would drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains and every so often you would see a pipe driven into the rock face cut for the road with the best water I have ever drank coming out of the pipes, we would drink our fill and drive on.

If the water is spring water and not to far from the source, then I would agree, but even with run off from a spring the further you get away from the source unless it's been piped in or if the stream is from rain or melting snow runoff the chances of getting sick from bacteria, viruses, or more likely Giardia is not worth the risk, I have no problem drinking from most any stream if I have a "filter straw" or "water filter bottle", I'm just not going to risk drinking unfiltered water unless it was a life saving/survival type situation, or as I mentioned it's coming from underground spring and only very close to the source.

The guy in this video is detecting on a beach in Morocco, in the comment section he answers a person question as to if they would need a permit, he says no not on the beaches, you can go to the video on YouTube to read the comments. So it seems that what Shelton says is accurate as far as beaches go, BUT I also read that it's not legal to metal detect in Morocco so I would suggest before going so you don't risk getting your detector confiscated and in trouble just bringing one into the country and also after getting there to check with local authorities to be sure if and or where you maybe able to metal detect. .

Gold In Italy
Gold Seeker replied to Yelp84's topic in Gold Panning, Sluicing, Dredging, Drywashing, Etc
I did a search on this for you, maybe the results will help you. https://www.bing.com/search?q=GOLD+panning+IN+ITALY.&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&lq=0&pq=gold+panning+in+italy.&sc=1-22&sk=&cvid=2EA526FEE0A64BD29C4656680B5B368C&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl= I found that this site had the latest info and covered most if not all of the locations that have gold in Italy. https://howtofindgoldnuggets.com/italian-high-country-finding-gold/ -
Weird 1967 Quarter Found.
Gold Seeker replied to Sirius's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
I think that quarter was simply exposed to some other different condition/elements than all the other quarters you've found and thus the different color/corrosion your seeing, but if t floats your boat then it's whatever you think it is. -
It appears to be the very rare and hard to find invisirock.

Rock I Found Yesterday. I Don't Know What It Is.
Gold Seeker replied to Ezra's topic in Rocks, Minerals, Gems & Geology
When he asked where you found it, he was asking the general location of where you found it, next to a big rock doesn't give anyone any info to help ID your rock, the general location will help because someone can check what types of rocks are in that location which will help narrow down the possibilities of what it could be. -
The way I read/understood Bob's reply, was that he couldn't speak to the gummies enabling you to hear/find the wheaties and that maybe someone has worked/detected the area since you were last there and cleared out some trash or other targets out of the area enabling you to hear the wheaties and find them.

Help Requested In Identifying Arrowhead
Gold Seeker replied to ColonelDan's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
I would suggest contacting the "Projectile Point" website and send them several photos from every direction/angles along with some measurements and info where you found it and they may be able to tell you what you have, they most likely will add it to their website as well. -
Help Requested In Identifying Arrowhead
Gold Seeker replied to ColonelDan's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Here's a link to a "listing" of arrowheads/projectile points from Tennessee. http://projectilepoints.net/Search/ASearch_Tennessee.html Also a link to their main page, links to the right can help with terminology, time periods, etc. lots of info if you're into researching this topic. http://projectilepoints.net/ Just keep in mind that arrowheads have been around for 1000s of years so any point could be 100's years old to 1000's of years old. -
Found A Live One And Caught The Brass Ring
Gold Seeker replied to Geologyhound's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
You're correct on the cartage head stamp for manufacturer and date, for the caliber you need to measure the diameter to be certain...but it looks like around 9mm or also referred too as .380 ACP or it also could be a .32 ACP -
Another Unknown Odd Beach Find...
Gold Seeker replied to cuniagau's topic in Metal Detecting For Jewelry
Actually I didn't really know it was a ear wax removal tool , I just thought to myself when I saw it that it should work well for removing ear wax with it being as small as it is and having the grooves on the end and then did a search and found that kit with that tool in it, sometimes one gets it right with a lucky guess!!! -
