Ridge Runner
Dilek Over the year I’ve paid a lot more for a lot less than what you’re offering on the Simplex . At that price you can’t beat it with a stick and should be jumping on it with both feet. Simply said What a great price. Chuck
Mark Gillespie
Very unbelievable price indeed. Now the question is performance. Competition is good. With that price point, wow.
Jeff McClendon
Looks like a fantastic detector. I am guessing that my Makro Gold Kruzer audio adapter cable for wired headphones and Nokta/Makro green wireless headphones will work with the Simplex. I REALLY enjoyed the commercial!!!!!!!!! Ridge Runner
In comparison to some detectors I’ve put money out for one I could have walked out the door with two . This is like buying one and getting one free . Chuck
Steve Herschbach
Between Equinox coming from above and Simplex from below the U.S. manufacturers are now caught in a vise-grip. I'd be more sympathetic were it not their own complacency that put them there. Basically this is just a 12 kHz single frequency detector so off the shelf circuit for First Texas, Garrett, and White's. Put pricing aside and it's the innovation in design and ergonomics that is setting these folks apart. Price this the same as the $749 MX Sport and I would still buy this. That's how bad it has gotten in my opinion. Not great news for people with used detectors - prices are going down fast.
Ridge Runner
Steve You said a mouthful but you called it right. Some may not like it but the truth always hurts. Chuck
Steve Herschbach
Marketing muscle matters and lots of people still have never heard of Nokta/Makro. Garrett in particular is a marketing powerhouse. The deal they cut with Duracell to feature a Garrett... brilliant. Machines like this will certainly help change that for NokMak however. Simplex is a word of mouth type unit at that price. Seriously, if anyone was asking about a detector for $254 how could anyone who knows about it not mention the Simplex? And it really does go head to head with more expensive machines. I’d not touch a Garrett AT with a ten foot pole compared to one of these. It out features the $649 AT Max and is going to be easier on the wrist.
Steve Herschbach
Nokta/Makro is well known in Europe I'm told. They obviously target Detectival in a big way. Funny, here I am going WOW but looking at responses on a couple other forums seems like complaints and sour grapes. Go figure.
