Problem With Warranty In Russia

Yesterday, in Russia, a minelab dealer (mdregion.ru) announced that the installation of telescopic rods, folding knots on Minelab Equinox would void the warranty.

Dealers do not decide what is warranty or not. That is strictly Minelab’s business. Minelab has no way to know what rod has been on a detector, so the premise is silly.

Now, if Minelab is saying they will not warranty handles split due to improper installation on alternate rods.... well, sure, that makes sense. But voiding a warranty for simply using an alternate rod - no.
