Steve Herschbach
Saw this at Bill's forum and liked it - good photos and details showing how getting gold seems like only a small part of things sometimes. http://www.ssdsupply.com/alaska_2015.htm
Gold Seeker
I've been following along with Steve's Alaska dredging trips for a number of years via his journal, always a great read, almost like being there!
AU_Solitude
Crazy to think that 86 Oz wasn't considered a good season. Thanks for the link Steve.
tvanwho
I'd throw in the towel after a couple days of nonstop breakdowns and cold and wind and hassles...I wonder how these guys keep going?

Roughwater
Wow. Interesting read. So much time and money devoted to equipment. A prospector up there best be half Mechanic. Wish I could have got up there a few years ago when the gold was better. Thought about going this year and looked into it but the start up cost and shipping anything large up there or back out of there is really expensive (4500 to 7500 or more one way). Even most of the nearby sea is claimed up. So it looks like I'll go to Chicken AK instead. Least I can drive there and only a short 10000 miles round trip from my home. Lanny
Fun read! Gave me flashbacks to Nome. Lots of problems that crew had to slug their way through, but the gold sure is beautiful. Thanks for the link, and all the best, Lanny
