I also hunt old homesites (what little there are here), local beaches, and a few parks from time to time. I use a White's M6 and a Surfmaster PI (purple label). I have done OK on gold and silver over the years. When I get a fair amount, I send it off to Midwest Ref. for the cash. Except for the class rings and military rings/medals I've found.
