Is The Mi-6 Pinpointer VLF Or Pulse Induction?

I've been trying to find out if the MI-6 pinpointer is pulse induction or VLF. There is nothing specific in the manual except under the Technical Features section it says the MI-6's Detecting Frequency is 12 kHz, which makes me thing it is VLF. Am I wrong?

VLF!

It's a damn good pinpointer too, well the Mi-4 which I have is.  I don't need any of that wireless connectivity mumbo jumbo.

Pulse Induction, there a very hardy Pin-Pointer I have 3 MI-6's. My oldest one is just shy of 5 years old.

Edit: You know what maybe they are a VLF Pointer.

I got from a good authority that it is Pulse Induction. 🙂 Love the wireless connection, so used to it now I don't mind it freaking out. 😀 Sometimes it doesn't connect off the bat, but it's so accurate and quick to assist digging deeper targets I forgive that too. I run mine on 50 sensitivity all the time. I've heard it change pitch with targets 6" deep.

XP Pinpointer MI-4

Can be used with any detector! The MI-4 is for those who do not need / want to connect to the Deus because they are looking for example with another detector. Otherwise, Mi-4 and MI-6 are technically identical.

I was always led to believe they were Pulse Induction as well F350, I did see similar to what Simon has posted when I done a quick search. It clearly says VLF there, but I am sure there a Pulse.

I think before assuming it is Pulse you contact XP and ask, I'm confident it's not.

12 kHz is a giveaway, the most popular VLF frequency there is for pinpointers.

I think it may get confused as it has Pitch and Pulse Audio 🙂

I’ve heard great things about the MI6. I’ve never owned a XP pinpointer, now I have a classic Propointer AT which I don’t like...bought it because of the orange colour but next one will be a pulse pinpointer for sure.

The Fisher F-Pulse Pin Pointer is Pulse Induction, and they work extremely well. When I'm not using the Deus II and MI-6, I'm using the Fisher with all my other detectors.
