In everyones opinion what would be better...Park 1 or Park 2 for a newbie to the Nox 800. I hunt freshwater beach (on the Colorado river in AZ ) also tot lots in town plus a few old home sites ( not that old ) , mostly foundations.

To Dig Or Not To Dig, That Is The....... Problem
Buzzard replied to MineBlab's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
For me right now as I am just learning my Nox 800.....if it beeps , I dig it. I just take note of what the number was so I can refer back in my mind (what little I got ) as to what it might be that I dig. -
Just got back, was surprised as the river was running high.....one place I have been before almost had no beach at all. The other beach I went to there was 3 folks fishing and 4 others detecting......they was leaving as I got there , was told that they had been there for about 2 or 3 hours before I got there. Well , I found a sinker , a nickle , 6 pennies.....we won't count the bottle caps or pull tabs. But I am learning......going to take some doing compared to my MXT or MX Sport. Looking forward to my next hunt.

I will be going out into the real world detecting this morning, going to a freshwater beach....not and old beach but busy on the weekends. I have seen other detectors out there but nothing too fancy. We will see how the Nox does...I know lots of bottle caps.

Minelab Pro-Find 35 Pinpointer - Review
Buzzard replied to SittingElf's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
I got one when they was first released and no way will I let it go. -
I got rid of my VX3 , got a Whites MX SPORT.....much easier to use and a lot led learning curve.
-
I tried the GM in some tot lots and it hit on every little bitty piece of foil there.....way to sensitive in my opinion.
-
after dealing with personal issues I got out with the MXS....Took it to a wel hammered spot full of trash , I have found coins there before but thought I got them all. Well the mxs did not let me down , found 2 zinks in a place that I know I have been over before with other machines (even an MXT) I am well pleased, there is a small learning curve but practice will cure that.
-
Nice find and save. I got a rule...I found it , it's mine and I'm gonna keep it...everything goes on the Hmmmm bucket until ID

After trying an MX3 I decided I did not like it so I got rid of it and got an MX Sport...so far trying it in my yard and test garden....I am one happy camper (detectorist). Now to really learn this machine.
