found this today in a wash below and old mine, any ideas as to what it might be. Got it with my Equinox 800 in park 1, was looking for possible coins, had the 6 inch coil, sure sounded good.

Who Digs All The Signals With Nox ?
Buzzard replied to vive equinox's topic in Minelab Equinox Forum
To me it does not matter if I am hunting gold or coins/relics , I dig it all, I do try to see if I can ID the item I am digging before I dig it. So far it has worked for me , was swinging for gold with the 6 inch coil, got a 14 then right away it hit a 3...swing the other way and got a 3 then went to 14 , dug it, the 14 was a hot rock but beside it was a very small sliver of lead. The lead read a 3....could have been gold . -
Great finds, Nox did well. Hope your health get better soon , happy hunting when you can.

Very nice Mitchel, Ineed to get out and hunt some coins with my 6 inch coil . Going to a place I have hunted with every coin machine and coil I have had. Great finds on the beach...none around here in Golden Valley but will make it to Bullhead to hunt soon.

I have to agree, it is all I need . I now pick up the Equnox and my MXT and MX Sport just sit..going to sell them

did not get to hunt a long time, got run out by thunder storms, big time. I did find 2 itty bitty pieces of lead.....one of them read a 3 and was next to a hot rock that read a 13.....swing one was it would read 13....3 then swing other wat it would read 3 ….13 so I dug...got the hot rock out, it read 13....swung back over hole and it read 3..dug a little more and found the lead....nice for the coil to separate the targets. picture taken with my micro camera , that is a BB for size...

Thanks , for the most part I have had the best luck hunting coins , I only live about 60 miles from a gold hunting area so I thought I would give it a try, so far I have never detected a nugget , but there is always a chance. Getting ready to head out and will report on my findings.

Looks like I will have my 6 inch coil for my Equinox today, already planning on going to Gold Basin in the morning, we will see what happens.
-
Well ,My coil left Phoenix and went through Kingman to Las Vegas took 13 hours to get there and I guess I will have it tomorrow....I HOPE.
-
tracking said my coil left Phoenix at 1:47 am, should have had it today....at 3:30pm it says same thing...don't know why it is taking so long to go less than 200 miles
-
Michel , Mine is in Phoenix and should be here today....waiting for it to get here......will be going to GB to try some areas we looked at.
-
Just watched a YOU TUBE video with Bill Southern and he was using the 6 inch coil. Glad I just got a tracking number on my coil. Great video

Only had my Nox for a short time but I know if I go out detecting I pick the Nox up and leave the MXT and my MX Sport at home now...still learning but almost have no interest in other machines . But that is just me.
-
At my learning point right now I am just using park 1 and going from there.....if it beeps right now I dig it....got a good foil collection going. .

Took my Equinox 800 out to play today . I went to a local Tot lot since it should be almost empty...it was . Found a bunch of clad, first find was a dime, then another dim. I got a solid 13 on it was double hitting, move the sand and there was a nickel....all in all I think I got about 1.77 in clad but I am getting better and ID with sounds...would here it , then look for what I thought it should be....still learning but having fun too....
-
Waiting, learning , so when the 6 inch coil come out I can get one for some tight places I like to go. Figured I would have to dump the sand.....at least if I got sand I know I was swinging low enough . I was told that there was a group hunting on this beach the night before too. This is a beach on the Colorado river across from the Laughlin NV casinos...very popular with the tourists.
-
Went out to a local freshwater beach on the Colorado River , was full of folk this weekend.... Got there at day break...was already 8 folks hunting , I took my place on the beach. I found 5 pennies , 2 dimes and 2 sinkers plus 3 metal tent pegs . Still learning but I am getting able to tell bottle caps from coins and pull tabs . If it beeps I still dig it but I try to ID what I am about to dig. Hardest thing to find was 2 split-shot sinkers as they was the same color as some of the gravel. I am learning , finding stuff , but learning. Does anyone have problems with sand getting in between the coil and cover....how to fix it ????
