  1. I guess they’ve changed their policy regarding the receipt but haven’t updated their website yet. ”The complete XP DEUS metal detector is covered by a five year parts and labor warranty for detectors purchased on or after January 1, 2013. Units purchased prior to this date are covered by a 2 Year Parts and Labor Warranty. The warranty is for the device based on the serial number. If resold, the warranty follows the device. The warranty is based on the date of the original sale as noted on the receipt from an authorized dealer. A copy of the original sales receipt is required for service under the warranty. Units submitted for service without a sales receipt are considered out of warranty”. https://www.xpmetaldetectorsamericas.com/warranty
  2. It is. They will just need a copy of the original receipt.
  3. That is a cool design!
  4. Price lowered to 250 shipped on WS6 set #1, and $210 shipped on WS6 set #2.
  5. Depends on the base program. In v1.1+, Deep HC, they seem to come in at 54-59 for me. In Fast, 59-64.
  6. Congrats on the new rig NC! I recently picked up an extra D2 with almost the exact same setup. 13”x11” coil, remote, WSA II XL, WS6 and an extra 9” coil. I prefer the WSA 2 XL’s over the WS6, so figured I’d just sell both of my WS6 headphones and the extra 9” coil to recoup some of the $$$ I spent.
  7. Will do. I briefly tried SS set up over the Fast program in 2.0. It seemed to work ok using fast as the base, but I haven’t really used it much yet. I noticed the nickel range was way different using Deep HC. 54-59 I think it was? Looking forward to putting more time on 2.0 soon.
  8. I saw that video while browsing YouTube at work the other day and meant to check it out when I got home, but completely forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me and sharing your thoughts. I recently picked up an extra Deus 2 running 2.0, and will definitely load the Tekkna program up and try it out soon. BTW, after setting up 2.0 as close as possible to what I’m used to in .71 (audio filter at zero, no frequency cap, regular square tones, silencer at 1 or 2), it ran very smoothy for me. Much better than the last time I tried 1.0 and 1.1. I think where I went wrong the first couple of times was trying out too many new settings at once. This time I’ll ease into trying the new settings a little at a time. i still wish v2.0 had the same ID normalization as .71. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying having to get used to new TID readings in different programs.
  9. WS6 headphones set #1. Like new. Only 4 months old with very little use. Does not include plastic carry case. This was purchased new in December 2023. $210 shipped. WS6 headphones set #2. Has some light scratches due to sliding around in my truck but have only been used a few times. Includes plastic carry case. Preordered and delivered to me in Feb 2022. $170 shipped. All prices include shipping to the lower 48 states. No international shipping. Payment method: PayPal FF or add 3%. Thanks!

This will relocate the shaft mounting point closer to the center of the coil, making it much more balanced and easier to swing. This one ONLY works with the 13x11 coil. If you need a balancer for the 9" or 11" coil, check my other uploads in this section. Print using PETG. 100% infill. No supports needed. You'll need to use the spare bolt, nut and cap that came with your detector. If you don't have it, you can find them on Amazon or eBay for just a few bucks.
  11. I had one for a while. IMHO, it works great in soft ground but not the best choice for tough ground. The Predator Tools Spartan is what I use most of the time.
  12. I sold mine. Wasn’t disappointed at all. I actually thought it was a great detector, but just prefer the audio and ergonomics of the Deus 2.
  13. I’m also looking to pick up a used unit with 11” coil and just the remote. I mainly want it for testing purposes such as comparing different versions. I could do that now using my WS6, but just prefer the remote due to ease of use. I was originally just going to buy a new RC, but then realized that I’ve seen complete used Deus 2’s for around that same price. I’ve been wanting an 11” coil anyway, so makes more sense to go that route. I’m not in any hurry, so I’ll wait until I see another really good deal pop up.

Several of these balancers can be found on Thingiverse and for sale on eBay. The attachment point (wings?) on most of those are kind of thin and not very durable. I've already broken a couple of them. I tried one that I found on eBay which was thicker, but it was designed in a way that it didn't allow the coil to be folded completely flat against the shaft. So with this in mind, my coworker and I decided to design a new improved version of the balancer solving both of those issues. The wings are thicker AND it allows the coil to be folded completely flat. All edges have been smoothed so that it looks and feels nice. We designed this to work with the 9" coil, but I believe it'll work fine for the 11" coil as well. Print using PETG so that it can withstand heat. 100% infill. No supports needed. 15. Like Jeff, I have the puck mounted in Quest over the ear headphones. My detecting buddy has both and says the audio quality is noticeably better with the WSA XL. I've never used the XLs so I can't confirm.
  16. Thank you for the detailed comparison, 350! All very interesting, especially how much tighter the IDs were. I think I’ll load 2.0 on my WS6 and compare it to .71 on my remote for a while. Thanks again!
  17. Thanks Jeff. I won't be upgrading anytime soon, but will definitely look over the change sheets before I do. Looking forward to reading your findings, midalake.
