  1. I can assure you it's nothing Holy about it. Chuck
  2. Bob One thing they can't say about you and that's you're full of it. I was thinking about ordering a new coil from you but it too has a hole in and you may be selling me a used one with brown paint all over it. You called it paint! Chuck
  3. Well I remember the Tuborg in Thule Greenland but I'm not sure if I want to wait on the smaller coil for my XP. If they being the powers that be don't say something soon it will be gone. It's too many detectors out there to say I can't live without this one. Chuck
  4. MDCHIEFSH Okay being I don't have a small concentric coil I've been playing around with the 6 X 10 DD Sport Coil. Over time I may come out of the dark into the light and agree with you. I do like my MX Sport and I'm still happy I hung in there until everything was fix. The Best with your MX Chuck
  5. Rob on Nuggethunting forum says he's get the new 19 inch coil and shipping out now. For you that has been waiting for it the waiting is over. Chuck
  6. The one odd thing I see is the short warranty of just a year. If you can get out everyday to use this detector I'm sure that would be long enough for trouble to pop up. Most time if you going to have a problem with electronics it will come up in the first year. With me I may not get out to nugget hunt just one time in that warranty year..So to me it is short time. Where do I get in line to buy it.Haha Chuck
  7. Fred At my age is what has made me good. I don't think I need to say more. Chuck
  8. Norvic I too don't see the price on the Z to drop anytime soon. I've been in business over the years in different forums but in any I had to make a profit to keep it going. The same is true with any detector company in it's all about profit but sales come first. That new detector coming on line has to have something no other has to offer. If it's the same it's just got to be doing it better than the others. Some may use the term a edge in some form over another. The Best ! Chuck
  9. If I have a wish that will come true in 2017 let our cup run over with detectors. The more detectors come on line the lower the price will be. The high end detectors like the GPZ will have to lower their price to sell. When this comes about I'll go buy the GPZ I've been wanting. For all of us out in the cold or heat swinging a detector it's a win win win all the way. Let it be best to all in 2017 in the detector you swing! Chuck
  10. Thanks all that have posted and with great interest I had to read each one. I do hope others find the time to post too. Thanks Again ! Chuck
  11. We hear about the hot PI detectors so many have to nugget hunt with. Maybe if you don't have far to travel you may not carry a backup. I myself it's a long trip to nugget land in the sky so I have a backup and another backup. What I'd like to know from you is your backup another PI are a VLF ? Whatever you carry have you had the need to fall back on it ? Chuck PS What I read on here it sounds if all own GPZ's.
  12. What I didn't tell you in the above post is you get a great looking black case with a long strap to carry over your shoulder if want.. I'd like to thank the powers that be who posted the ad. Chuck
  13. This is just the start of what we'll see in the coming year. You detector companies out there sitting on your hands take note. The first if good will stay first and the last won't last at all. Chuck
  14. Harbor Freight has a hand wand metal detector that works great. The cost is just under 40 dollars and you can get a 20 % coupon to lower the price even more. If you hunt old buildings I'd say don't leave home without it. My treasure story will tell you why. This friend had a cleaners and it had a cellar with beams running from one end of the building to the other. From time to time he'd go down and whatever reason lay a key on top of one of the beams. This day he ran his hand up there feeling for that key but no key. He keep running his hand around and came up with something round. I guess it was good he had a cleaners to clean his pants. That round he found was several gold coins that had been there who knows when. The wand looks like what Garrett puts out. The item # is 94138 if you want to check to see if they carry it where you are. Chuck
  15. Tom The TDI SL would have been one hot detector if White's hadn't went cheap with the AA under power battery pack and had used the same the other PI's had. I myself have added another battery in the same pack of my SPP but it's still short of the power it can handle. What's needed is the bigger box that the SL should have come in. Oh well that's life. Chuck PS Tom I seen your reply before I hit submit and I thank you for it. I just like the words American Made on the side of my detector box. Don't get me wrong I do buy other detectors that are not made in the USA when they have something new that I don't have. One would be the XP Deus. Tom thanks for being on here and willing to hear what we have to say. Chuck
  16. You got all this talk about the TDI SL but What's coming down the pipes from White's ? Minelab has lowered their price on the 4500,5000 and The GPZ 7000. So what you ask is the big deal about that. The price on all of the PI detectors from Minelab will drop more as in used. I tell you that people will be willing to put out money on a used Minelab more so than a new TID SL. They doing that now ! Tom I tell you and White's if don't get off your butt and come out with something soon you may have to take another PI off line. I too believe it would do White's good if they had a small leak on what's coming out the door soon. Chuck PS What's said is my opinion and it alone. I don't have the SL But the SPP.
  17. Condor Great story and greater gold you found. Maybe you need to hug your Quad and say thank you. haha It's odd that the bad day turns out to be your best day. Chuck
  18. With all the new detectors coming on the market in 2017 will be more excitement than one can stand. I think I should have said more than I can buy. I think all detectors companies have something cooking in their oven for 2017. Like a car dealer they all want your money and this may help keep the price down. At one time here in Texas we had lots of Treasure Shows but due to the low turnout it went by the wayside. I don't know if we have less swingers out there are people are doing other things than coin hunt. You just didn't hear about nugget hunting and nothing about PI detectors. It was all coin or nothing back when. I'm sure others have found there is life after coin and for some the color comes up gold. Best too all on whatever trail you take ! Chuck
  19. Dave Thanks for the reply. I've been watching videos on lots of them. I was at a hobby store today and they had them up to 4 thousand if you have the money. Like so many things the more money you spend the more you get. Chuck
  20. Is there anyone on here that use a Drone to survey the area you plan on nugget hunting are coin hunting ? I was thinking about getting one to look over land that has a lot of trees that could have a old home site you can't see from the road. I'll let you know up front I don't go where I don't belong. If I do find something of interest then I'll spend the time looking for the owner. Drones are like detectors and that is just how much money you want to spend. Chuck
  21. Steve I'm not sure but I think I've reach my limit on the number of detectors one person can have. Now if the powers that be would put a GPZ 7000 under my tree for Christmas I just wouldn't have it in my heart to say no. Like a friend said about a gun he wanted years back. If I had this one gun I wouldn't want another. That is way I am about the GPZ 7000. This would hold true until the next GPZ 8000. Chuck PS My friend has so many guns but then just one.
  22. Rick UK Oh I didn't think you were knocking anything but just wondering why. Life is all about what ones likes and me being happy were I'm at being 3.2 is all I know. I say I do like it but looking forward to V 4 and the coils to go with it. Chuck
  23. Rick UK I have the V. 3.2 that it came with but what do you like so much about the V. 2 ?. Can you are maybe someone else tell me what's the difference between the two versions. In my thinking a new version is not a advance to the rear. I know we all have likes and dislikes but Rick's reply derail me. Chuck
  24. River Rat Jan 2017 is good enough for me I don't plan on doing anything other than coin hunting anytime soon. Chuck
  25. I've known to be wrong but I don't see anything coming out of XP Deus by the end of 2016. It hurts to mark one of the coils off my wish list for this year. There is a old saying that fits this and that is Bird in hand is better than two in bush. Oh well good things come to who that wait. No matter what I'm not going to run out and sell my XP Deus. The older I get the more I need less weight to swing. Chuck
