  1. I have the Nokta for Gold + and I had trouble new out of the box. I posted my trouble on here and Nokta corrected my problem. It didn't happen overnight because they first sent the control box but that wasn't it.. Then they sent the handle and that was the fix. Not one time did all that shipping cost me a penny. White's done the same thing when I had trouble with my MX Sport. The two above detector companies is the type of people and some others we need to stay with. Buy from people that take care of you today tomorrow and down the road. Chuck PS Has anyone heard a word on the new XP Deus coils ?
  2. The SPP had not been for sale in the US but it didn't sale like White's hoped it would. They had been in storage and Jimmy Sierra took them and put SPP on them. The S stands for Sierra and the other is Prospector Pro. When they were first put on sale they came with two coils. I had to have one and I got it. In the past I've used it as a backup PI detector. It has a recharge system but it only last about 4 hours. The TDI Pro comes with a high cost to make more so than the SL. I do hope they bring back the TDI Pro back if they can kick it up to equal the GP if not better. Chuck
  3. Minelab I think you should take on China. I'm sure they'll bend in the wind and give you all you ask for. I wonder if we go to Minelabs Country if we would be welcome with open arms to screw whoever we want ? You can call it what you want but it comes down to just what I said. Chuck
  4. Tom Thanks for the video. I've never own the TDI SL but do have the SPP. When the TDI's first came out I had one of the first that came off the line. This is just me If was to go buy another TDI I'd have to go with the TDI Pro. The cost between the two is not that much different in price. I got the SPP just to say I've got a PI and at times I may have the need for it. I know the first TDI I had had great depth on the beach beyond any detector I've used before. Chuck
  5. So if I'm not making a profit I just go around and sue every company that makes metal detectors. Minelab I say the only one your're hurting in the long run is Minelab. Who knows Garrett be the next in line. Oh will I'll keep on buying from White's and when the new coils for the XP comes out I'll buy one them too. Chuck. .
  6. I've always told my kids you can ask for something and the most I can say is NO. I think most know that if you have been in the Military and can prove it Minelab would give a 15% discount on their detectors. Well I got a email on the new SDC 2300 and I like the looks of it. I email Minelab back and ask if they would give me 20 % discount I'd buy it.. In a weeks time a dealer we all know email me and said Minelab would do it. Minelab didn't have to do that but at that time the powers that be their heart was in the right place. For this I thank Minelab and the next time I need a nugget detector I'll pay the price less my 15 %. Chuck
  7. I too think that Minelab detectors has been higher than a cats back. Now you take the guy that is out there finding gold everyday he too will say the same. The difference is he's finding gold and you and I keep coming up short.. For what I've spent on detectors I could own about two of the 7000 but my trouble is I don't live in gold country. Again Minelab is too high in price but put me downunder and I won't ,leave home without my 7000. Good thing about all of this is I can buy what I want and in the ;past I've done it. My first Minelab was 17000 next Extreme next 3500 next 4500 next 2300 but now I own none.. I didn't list the Minelab Coin detectors I've had.but still have one. Of all things it's a GO Find 60. Chuck
  8. Minelab just as well take on all or most detector companies being so many now can hold data in one way are another. When Minelab drop the price of their high end detectors it said that sales how to be down. By doing it that gave then a shot in the arm that was in bad needed. I myself think Minelab is a great detector company but I do believe by going after another great detector company could hurt them more than time can heal. Chuck
  9. Guys The first thing I want you to know I'm not joking. What I do is a low level of weight lifting to keep my arms in shape. This will help you over time but don't look for results over night. I'd say the weight should be the same as the detector and work up from there. I work with a 10 lb. weight with each arm. Them I use a 15 lb.. If you repeat enough with each arm it will start talking to you. I found the two weights work well making it easy for me to swing my detector longer. Chuck
  10. Guys a dollar 295 don't sound bad. I got some detectors I haven't paid that much for. The only thing I see wrong is the dollar is a thousand dollars. All you need is just a nugget about the size as a small hen egg and it's paid for. I wish all you GPZ 7000 owners best of luck. I'd be willing to go with anyone so I can hold your feet and let you down in the hole to get the nugget out. Chuck
  11. When back this morning but didn't hunt long. Me and heat just don't do well together. Did find 4 dimes and 3 pennies but like said too hot. The batteries in my MXS is the ones that came with it. They just now are showing the sign of a little age on them. I really don't know how many hours of run time I have but it's easy on batteries. That SPP run time I have is about 4 hours on a set of AA's. I do have a recharge set that i use but like said it's not a all day run. I'm going back on a cool day and too maybe after some rain would help. Chuck.
  12. You will find that Tom is always more than willing to answer or help anyone in anyway he can. I was there from day one when the MX Sport hit the market. White's and Tom was there to correct are make good any problem I had. The word no was never heard by me from White's. If you've been reading some of my post then you know I know the MX Sport is one great detector. I'm not a dealer and anything I say good about white's MXS don't put a dime in my pocket. We all know it had a hard start but what was in the past I'll leave it there. You can go buy a cheaper detector that is not waterproof and with a less weight problem if it is a problem for you. I'm no spring chicken at 75 and I don't have the trouble with the weight factor. The best thing is you can sing let it rain let it pour and I don't care no no more. The Best to you if and when you get your MXS. Chuck
  13. The neat thing about nuggets is no two are alike. Thanks for the show and tell guys. Makes me want to put down my coin detector and go nugget hunting. It's just a short drive down the road of a thousand miles. Oh well maybe not today. Chuck.
  14. I got myself on the email for any info coming from XP Deus Company on when the new coils will be out and when I can download V 4. I go to my mail box but I find nothing. At the next board meeting I'll let them know it has to be a change on the slow part of info coming out the back door. haha Chuck.
  15. Yes it is so. You can read all about it on the MD-Hunter Blog. The coils will be for the series of TDI detectors. Coiltek makes great coils but again I'm left out in the cold with my MX Sport. Chuck
  16. Tom Thanks for posting about the penny king. I think anyone can do the same but the detector can't do it by it's self. In my hay day I would average from 6 hundred to a thousand dollars in coins a year. The main reason for me to post on how much I like the MX Sport is to let others know how great it is. You just can't go wrong buying this detector.. The ID is right on the money. Like when the last coin in the hole the detector said it was a nickel with the ID of 20 and that's what a nickel is on the MXS. The ID is just one of many attributes the MXS has to offer. The best thing for anyone that has a interest in the MX Sport is pull up the User's Guide and watch some video's. In this way you know up front all about your MX Sport before you get it. One thing if the rain don't bother you it won't bother your MX Sport being it's waterproof. Takes a licking and keeps on detecting. haha Chuck
  17. For who would like to know I had the 6 X 10 DD coil on my MX Sport. When you're hunting with a DD is like a knife blade in the ground. So like I should be I was hunting low and slow so not to miss anything. Chuck
  18. Today was my day. Oh no big treasure but the coins was coming to light. I went late today to hunt a playgrounds at my church. This church came into being in mid 60's but the playground is not that old. I started hunting but at first not hitting anything. Then got a Id for a penny but maybe a little higher ID for it. Well I dug it and it was down say 3 inches. I check the hole with my TRX and it said nothing else. I always run over with the coil before covering the hole and when I did I had ID of a dime. Sure enough about 4 inch from the hole lay a dime with some dirt that came from the hole I dug. I had flip the dime out of the hole but didn't know it. I was trying to stay in the shade because the Sun was hot in the open. I moved over to hunt at the end of a small slide and I'd move the coil just a little getting another hit each time. Everything was coming up dimes in just a very small area. After that the sun was getting to me again so I moved under this tree to hunt around it. I didn't find not over three coins so then turn back to hunt the other side of the slide. Before I got there is where the fun started. I got a quarter signal first then dug down and out pop two quarters stuck together. I check the hole again but it wasn't in the same hole but next to it. This time out came a quarter with a dime stuck to it. This the way it went with the area no bigger than a dinner plate. After it was all over in that one spot I had found 5 quarters and the same on the dimes. I did find about 3 pennies in the same holes. I had yet found a nickel but when I ran the coil over for the last time I got a nickel reading and it was one nickel. I keep hunting for a while finding more quarters and dimes with a penny here and there. I'm not finish hunting this playground and will do it on a cooler day. I didn't get a count on the total being Church was going to start and I take care of the sound system.I could see none of the coins was old as in silver or wheat. This Dog had a fun day. Chuck. PS Hey Tom you were right on up the sen. for a better PP Thanks
  19. Tom Just on a air test with a high sen. and then PP may be the fix. I'll know more later this afternoon and I will get back with you on this matter. Thanks Chuck.
  20. Tom Going back over on what you said I have a very loud PP tone on shallow targets but that's just the opposite of what you said. Question; Is the sensitivity setting in direct relation to the PP tone level ? The high point of the PP.. I did have the VCO on but I may turn it off. You can't learn how to skin a cat until you skin a few.haha Joking Chuck
  21. Tom I'll check everything on what you said next time I'm out. I run with the GB on lock all the time .I GB every so often and put it back on lock. On all shallow targets the PP is great and very loud. I'l be hunting a place today and any coins should be deep because of 3 inches of grass on top. Other than that with PP the MXS is one hot detector. The detecting part the tone is always strong in detecting targets. Hey Terry Raking 2 inches of grass off the top with your foot is not a easy thing to do. I couldn't do that when I was young and for sure not now..Superman can't leap as high of buildings anymore so I just walk around them. Terry it's good to see you posting. You take care! Tom maybe tonight I'll get back on the PP. Chuck PS When this comes up again I'll play around with my settings on my detector to see if I can make it better. Like I always said you have to learn what your detector can do for you and this don't happen over night. Has White's made my 6 inch coil yet ???????? I don't want some other coil. White's been making great coils for a long long time.
  22. Hey Tom The detecting on the MXS has been great. The trouble is when I get a coin beyond 5 inches on trying to pinpointing it. When pinpointing a fairly deep coin say around 6 inches you don't get the higher tone at center of your coil. It sounds all about the same over all the coils face. You never get a higher point of the tone to say I got a pinpoint. You can get the same problem on a air test.. I remember I had this same trouble at the same time with the other problems. You won't notice this until you get in a area where you get deeper targets. The detecting tone is not weak but like said the pinpoint is. The thing is you're not sure where the center of the coin is. You just know it's under your coil somewhere. This is the only trouble I've run into so far with my MX Sport. I found this trouble show up on concentric and the 6 x 10 DD. The stock DD coil that comes with the MXS I have yet to use it. Chuck
  23. I had watch the video over on MD-hunter and White's didn't have to do that. Why! I knew it's already a great detector by using it everyday and that is what I've been doing. Just like my Eagle 2 looks like new but it's found me lots of coins and rings. I don't think you have to abuse something to show how great it is. That's my opinion. Yesterday I was hunting around where a old house was when I was a kid. This house was old then so it could be 100 years are older. I'd went out with a large coil and stupid me didn't take a small coil to hunt with too.The good thing I can go back as much I want and I'll being doing that. I went out today to hunt along a road in front of a cemetery. This is always a good place to hunt when everybody can't park inside.I did detect some coins but they had put a layer of rocks about six inches deep and it was no way I could get to the coins without a jackhammer. Back to the old house. I dug so much trash but came out with one coin. Nothing to write home about but it was a 1944 D Wheat. On that 6 X 6 coil I'm still looking but I don't want to put out for a new one to change over to fit the MXS. I got it in my wish book White's will make one yet. Chuck .
