  1. Ringmoney You went and posted that info while I was getting ready to post. That sounds great but my trouble is I don't want the 9" round but the other. So that's put me back waiting again. Chuck
  2. Here I've been thinking about selling my XP Deus w/11" coil. I'd had enough waiting on it being said it's coming for almost a year. Now I've got to sit back and take another look if this is really what I want. My cup run over with nugget detectors and coin ones but it's a great detector Oh well that's life.Haha Chuck.
  3. Some of us has been waiting on the version 4 for our XP Deus but it's been slow in coming. I've been doing a search if it's any info out there. Well if you do a search for a video on this subject matter you find one after another. One guy shows downloading the V 4. but nothing is said where you can. It shows guys coin hunting and lots of show & tell on the V 4. Chuck
  4. Rob said on his forum that he has a Gold Monster 1000 in his hands for show and tell. But dig this he's not going to be at the Gold Show this year Another guy chimed in saying that some girl from Minelab will be there with one. Remember you heard it here. Chuck
  5. I have one of the SPP that I got from Digger Bob in the other room. Like said Jimmy Just put his name over the other and a new detector was born. To say that he sold them all but he done something White's couldn't do and that was get them back on the market. If you went to White's site you didn't find the SPP on there. I've heard that White's looked at the SPP like a stepchild and almost to the point of saying it don't belong to us. So now they out there now with their old sticker showing testing something new to cover up what they got in a old control box. This is my WAG ( wild ass guess ) Chuck PS I may be wrong but I can't remember when that was.
  6. White's put out a low end of the GMT that didn't have a threshold called a GMZ. I didn't use it a lot but a friend did and he was happy how great the detector detect. I did swing it some and it was odd for me that it didn't have a threshold being all my others did. I had to check it ever so often to be sure it was working. I sold it to a guy that was going into Mexico to hunt around some old mines that he has access to. The good thing he can talk and look like he's home. I myself you wouldn't find me down there being I like me lots. Chuck PS I was talking by text to Rob and he said he has 20 on the first order. So if you want to be one of the first to come on here for show & tell here is your time to shine.
  7. Hey Joe Glad to have you here and like all of us it's a great place to be. Why don't you let us know what interest you. The Best. Chuck
  8. Minelab Go-Find has a 1/8 jack and the Gold Bug Pro has both the 1/8 and the 1/4 jack. Way back when before you had headphones jacks on detectors I put a 1/8 on my 66TR and never had trouble with it. Chuck
  9. If you got a Harbor Freight around you can a gas engine water pump for about 150.00 with output of 158 GPM. If you get your hands on one of their 20% coupons you can get it for even less. I've had two of then and both worked great. I don't think I'd want a electric pump with me standing in the water. You can make the suck end out different size PVC pipe and just run the flex hose to a bucket to catch what you want. I use a rubber boot to connect the hose to the PVC pipe. If you want to see what I'm talking about PM me with your cell number and I'll send you pictures tomorrow. The only trouble is the one I made is 4 inch but have made smaller ones for others. PVC is so easy to work with and all you need is cleaner plus cement. Chuck
  10. Steve I think you said you sent a picture of the finish product to Garrett. I plan on making a Treasure Show in temple Texas at the end of April and I know Garrett Company will be there. I'm going to take pictures of yours to show them and ask if they got it. You really done a great job. If you looked at the other detector before and now you'd think this can't be the same. Looks better with less weight. Chuck
  11. I see the words so many times " Learning Curve ". Everything we do in life has a learning curve. In the days of diapers and pins the kid hope you had that so call learning curve down. We shouldn't back off when we hear the words learning curve. The more you learn the better you going to be in whatever you want to do. Take the GPZ and GPX I don't know the learning curve between the two and that's being I haven't had both. Boy I wish I could say I did. I've always said buy the best detector you can afford and learn what that detector can do for you. When you get to the point you almost know the date of that coin before you dig it up you have completed the learning curve. This holds true when nugget hunting. I know your saying Chuck your full of Bull Shoot. Next time out nugget hunting when you detect one first wave the coil back and forth then pull the coil up. Now this is where the learning curve comes in. The weight of the coil before and now gives you the weight of the nugget. If you get one you can't pick up the coil do call me at BS5-5555 Chuck
  12. Hey Big John hope you had a great day and many more with that great family you have. Chuck
  13. The things is I could get just about get int any place I wanted. When the price of gold shot up all the doors that was open to me then was lock. I was prospecting at 35 dollars so why not not at 12 hundred! I never done it for the money but just for the love of finding it. Chuck
  14. Some time back I put my name on a email list of XP Deus to receive all the hot news coming out the door. Well grab hold on something because it's hot. They said the V.4 would be out soon. Now how exciting is that ? I don't know why but I think I've heard this before! Chuck
  15. Steve Thanks for the reply. I've had SDC 2300 and like said I wish I too had the Pro Sonic to go with it. Then I got bye but with age my hearing just not as good. I would never put down Minelab in any way because I've had so many products from them and never been disappointed. I'd say it's about 10 Minelab to Garrett 2 on buying from both. Whatever it would add up too it's more than I want my wife to know.haha Chuck
  16. I was looking over on Chris Gholson forum and he's got the new Garrett Z-Lynk for 127.46 with free shipping. He is also putting your name in the pot if would like the new Minelab Pro Sonic for 269.00 plus free shipping. I'm just wondering if the one that has a higher price that much better than the other ? I know Minelab puts out a great product and as far as I know always has. But is the added 141.54 better than the American made one. I can't go out and buy both to find the answer to my question so I hope over time you can. Chuck
  17. From out of no where we have a new Minelab detector. What i'd like to know if this is why Minelab wasn't happy with the XP Deus coming out with their own gold V4 and two new coils ? To me Deus has been slow with the upgrade but just maybe Minelab says this is what you Deus is going to do. In another word Deus you stand down until we Minelab come out with our new detector. I may be barking up the wrong tree and all wet but it wouldn't be the first time I was out in left field. Never let a sleeping dog lay. Chuck
  18. I too would like to have seen a smaller coil than another 9 inch coil. I guess they who that be, feed us what they think we need. The trouble with this kind of thinking is it's my money that keeps them in business. Oh yours too ! Chuck
  19. Ringmoney You made my day with your answer and I'll take all 100%. haha Thanks for the reply. Chuck
  20. My question I have with the V 4 is my 11 inch that I already have is good for the trash can ? Now that's if I stay in V 4 are will I have to reload v 3.2 to use my old 11 Inch coil ? I see the new round coil is a 9 inch. I'm wondering if I had the old 9 would it too be the same maybe like my 11 inch ? What I'm thinking has a bad smell to it if that is true on a old coil and a costly one. Chuck PS if this holds true I have a XP for sale maybe soon
  21. Some great looking gold you got there Chris. Thanks for the picture. Chuck
  22. I didn't think one could get this many miles out of a tube of poly-grip . Chuck
  23. Guys we said it would never happen to us but here we are talking about it. I'm not sure what that is. Chuck
  24. Thinking is all wrong. That lub is for a sore shoulder by swinging your detector too long. Chuck
  25. Hi Jasong I have but one rule and that's is follow the rules plus stay within the lines of it. I know the Colorado club has a class on dredging and this will cut your cost on a permit by 50%.. The time when they have it and the distance cause trouble for me attending it. I've been up your way and it's lots of gold to be found if could get access but that is another story. Thanks for your reply. Chuck
