  1. Amazon has the ORX saying only 5 left in stock. You can buy the headphones and the top shaft with the arm rest separate if so desire. Chuck
  2. For you out there who would like to know the coil I use most of the time and that’s the 6” concentric. It was the only one I used on this trip. My friend had a 6” DD on that multi frequency detector he was using. The guy I was hunting with did find more coins than I did and that was due to the fact he could hunt lots longer because of age difference . The kid is 16 years younger than I am . Heck he’s still got baby fat! Chuck
  3. I was in Oklahoma to see a friend and do some coin hunting together. I had my Sport a single frequency and he had a multi frequency with both of us having good luck detecting. My biggest trouble was swinging the Sport over 1 1/2 hours each day. The trouble before I went I hadn’t been hunting as often as I should to keep my right arm up to it. Getting older has played lots on shorting my time in the field. Tom I’ve been at this with White’s from the 60’s and I’d like to stay another 50. Haha I’ll need some help from White’s on my next detector. First like me I got to get some weight off the next one I buy . I love the looks of the Sport and I know I could go over to the MX 7 but it too comes up short. The thing I don’t like I can’t notch out just one number at a time. On the number of frequency I can hunt in is just not that important. I’ve found more coins with just it running in one frequency more than most can count. You can see I must have hit a penny farm. I hit two spots it was nothing but pennies coming up . I’d get tired of digging and my friend took over and dig up as many as I did. Chuck
  4. Oh I haven’t forgot about it .I have a PI detector but it’s just not waterproof. I don’t think it’s necessary I get my feet wet to coin hunt are drive a 150 miles to beach hunt. I’ve seen so many detectors that has come out is totally waterproof and that’s a good thing if that’s what you want . I want less weight and at the same time I should get less cost . At this time in my life I don’t care to fight the elements anymore. On having a multi frequency detector is not the most important thing to me. I had one but sold it and can buy another . I’m not you and the same the other way around. So when I see what I want I’ll buy it. Chuck
  5. Unless I’ve missed it I haven’t seen are heard anything new coming from them.. it’s just so many new things coming from other detector companies just got me wondering. Maybe we could play some of that Jaws music the part you know it’s coming but you can’t see it yet. Better yet just maybe Tom from White’s could let the cat out of the bag . Right now I’d take a old bone if you can throw us one . I’ve been keeping my money for that one new detector in 2019 and I hope White’s is in the running for it . Chuck
  6. Well it looks like the ORX has landed being I found another dealer saying he has them in stock to sell for the same price as first posted. Maybe within a week we’ll start to see videos coming out on this side of the swimming pool . At the same time just maybe something we can understand. Chuck
  7. Chase Goldman I hear you loud and clear . I may be getting older by the day but the stupid part hasn’t kicked in yet . Happy New Year to you Chuck
  8. The first dealer I’ve seen that shows the ORX In stock is Big Boy Hobbies . They show it listed for 899.00. Chuck XP ORX metal detector with elliptical coil option
  9. Oh yes I too just added another two years on what I already had. Just think they had been sending out mailers for you to add more to what you already had. Chuck
  10. Dilek I wish you and your company a Very Merry Christmas. You and your company Lady has came a long way in 2018 and I wish even more in 2019. Chuck Anders
  11. Hi Goldpick I’ve got one detector that is over 20 years and never seen a repair shop. Then another stayed in there the whole two years of the warranty. I think a 5 year warranty is great and I think it’s a great detector but it still can only run in one frequency at a time. I’m not going to say it’s less detector but it does make it less in value. We all know in 2018 a new standard was set in a detector and price. If you going to put something out in the end of 2018 are 2019 and ask more it has to have more to offer. Chuck
  12. I’m not sure why but I printed the ORX manual today . I like laying the sheets out when viewing what a detector has to offer. I don’t know if it has enough to offer me to buy it but could be the backup. Just what that is only my pocketbook knows. Chuck
  13. That 5X8 DD coil should be one hot coil. I’ve yet to find a detector that can take one coil and do everything. I think it’s great when a company comes out with something and got the coils to back it up. I think it’s good for the customer and great for the detector company when they offer more than just the one that comes with the detector. My hat ? is off to you Garrett! Chuck
  14. Of my more than 50 years of detecting I’ve yet to come across anything that resembles that . To all the detectors that can’t pass the test don’t worry about it because more than likely you won’t either. I’m not saying it’s not a great detector if it can do it . Here you got all this trash above ground so you can see it . You put the same setup you got in the ground for a year and not knowing what you got it may be a different story. Then bring that great detector back and the rusty nails have rusted more but now you have a halo effect from all those rusty nails. I don’t believe you going to see anything but rusty nails. I hope someone can prove me wrong. I’ll meet you back here in another year and then you can run a in ground test. If it still can pass the test I’ll want to buy that detector off of you are another like it . Chuck
  15. Chase Goldman I don’t know if you took note that when the ORX was put down the stand make in with the arm rest is about worthless. When you sit it down it comes to rest right under the grip and falls over every time. Unless you plan on carrying a table to set it on each time it’s going to fall over like a dead horse. I like a stand that keeps my detector upright and if it don’t I make one that will before I go out the door with it . It would be great that your high dollar detector fell over in a puddle of water while you digging a target. I know what’s on the inside of a detector is very important but so many times they fall short on the design outside. Chuck
  16. I myself like a smaller coil than 9” for high trash . I’d like to hear from you the Deus user opinion. Chuck
  17. Chase Thanks for clarification on the coil in relation to the controller and how it works. I know I sound hard in respect to the ORX but if you going to include a feature don’t do it half way. If what you come out with can’t compete in price why bother? Chuck
  18. To bring the price down on the ORX maybe it would have been best for the cable that’s ran inside keep going. Then they could plug it into the controller and forget about having a wireless coil . Like it’s been said over and over again that cable is not a problem. I guess one good thing they do know some of the ORX have sold . I’m counting the dealers that’s made a video on the ORX. I’m sure one detector company is saying keep doing what you’re doing. Our sales is at its highest point ever and as you don’t make a change it will stay that way. Chuck
  19. Chase Goldman That Force you’re talking about has upset everybody’s apple cart. It may stand or stay top detector for a long time.( For the money. ) Some may try to outdo but it will be a cold day in someplace before they do. I can’t see are believe any detector company think they can come out with something that’s less and ask more for what they have to offer . I’ve been known to do stupid things and I was thinking about getting the ORX . Now after reading what you had to say and being if I was to buy the ORX it was because of less weight. After some thought another pound won’t hurt that bad after all . Chuck
  20. Mr. Chase Goldman I thank you for your honest opinion of the what and what not the ORX has to offer. Now over time the XP Deus has had updates couldn’t they do the same for the ORX ? On the price I say that’s a big joke . I can buy another detector that offers multi frequency and it’s a true multi frequency detector. Then buy a small coil and still not spend much more than the ORX will cost me. I guess they can say wee wee wee all the way back home with their ORX . Chuck
  21. I want it to be a sad day for everybody when I go. You ever see a armor truck in a funeral procession?? Just for fun I told my wife to write out a check of my total wealth and put it in the casket with me . Boy is she going to be surprised when I cash it . Chuck
  22. One bottle cap two boot tacks and a target I could never find. Sorry it’s as near as nothing you can get! Chuck
  23. I know I’ve posted this in many ways on what I or we want from White’s but I’m just wanting to keep this part of the forum alive. I feel if I can keep you thinking of what you desire just maybe we’ll be heard. Chuck
  24. I myself like the looks of screen of my MX Sport but not the weight. It would be great for it to trim some fat off of it. Out of all the ID numbers it has to offer I’d like to be able to notch out one at a time. We all know that different frequencies is better than others depending on what you’re detecting. If I can I’d like it to be multi frequency where I can run in all and single one if I do wish. What I want is a detector that it will do the major part of my detecting. My thing I’m a coin hunter first be it on a beach are around some old homestead . I’ve never been a relic hunter but it would have to offer the same for that person too . I love nugget hunting but it’s just not a lot of gold in Texas but it would be great to have some high frequencies to nugget hunt. I don’t see the need that I should have to buy another detector for what little I do get to nugget hunt. We all different and our wants runs different too.I know too it’s other detectors offer the things I’m wanting from White’s right now but I’d like to see America made on the side. Chuck
  25. Amen to that Steve ! I can buy two coil at that price and have money left over in comparison to what one wireless coil will cost . Another thing that detector that goes with that wireless coil is outrageous. In some cases I could buy two detectors for what I’d pay for one wireless detector. The only thing they got going for them is less weight. Chuck
