Hi Tom Well you hit what one would call false bedrock. Like you said you’re finding gold on top of this . What I’m about to say and to do some would say a big question why but only cost you a little time. If you can get your hands on a hand post hole digger try this . Dig a hole pass that false bedrock and as you dig pan the material that you bring out . That false bedrock was made over time and between it , it’s a true bedrock that your post hole digger may hit . Remember things have been going on long before man came on the scene. Who knows you may hit another false bedrock of different material before you reach the real one . FWest Sometime back I bought a dual field coil from a guy on here. I had what looked like one but it’s nothing in the center coil. Trailryder 42 In the state of Texas you can hunt any historical site if privately own and you got permission to do so . I don’t care what property you hunt on just get permission. You can hunt on school grounds and I’ve yet to get ran off but make sure to cover your holes up . On dealers if you plan on nugget hunting be sure to deal with one that’s in gold country. The guys have already named some great dealers to work with. I call home in San Antonio and been at this longer than you are old . That’s if the 42 is for your age . If true you still got baby fat . Over the years I’ve always liked hunting with a small coil and balance was never a problem. When I did use a large coil I’d just shorten the shaft and as long you don’t have steel toed boots on you’re okay. Here we are wanting lighter detectors and then turn around adding counter weights. I just find something wrong with this picture. Chuck

I found when the TDI first came out the coil it came out with was great . That coil was the dual field that I found myself digging deeper than ever before. If you wanted to beach hunt you may have been better to buy the regular TDI SL . Chuck

To see how good your equipment is get your hands on some cons and run it through. The main thing is catch all the tailings your equipment didn’t. Then it gets down to work panning everything. If you don’t have a lot of cons to run then I’d dig up some gravel. To me if it came from a gravel drive mixed with the other material would be great. Now between the two you got a good river run and a true test . You may have to make several runs and trying to improve your equipment each time. If you ever get to the point that all your gold is in your cons and not the tailing then all will be beating a path to your door. You can run this test in your backyard. I went to Walmart and got a kids play pool for 15 dollars . Set your equipment inside the pool filled with water and this way you can’t lose any of your material. You’re just pumping the water out the pool and back into your equipment that’s in the pool with nothing lost. Hope this will help ! Chuck PS I think that pool was about 7 or 8 feet across plastic

Like Steve said I do have a ORX that should be here maybe Wednesday of this coming week. Here is this old courthouse that sits in the middle of a city block and I have permission to detect. Steve A new video just was posted on the net yesterday showing the ORX being used for nugget hunting in Australia. What they were showing I’d say it was doing great. Seeing is believing but sometimes do you believe what you see . Chuck

Mike T This new digital magazine may be the way of the future but I think I don’t care to cross over . I’m like you in I go back to the hard copy in hand and read one article then lay it aside. I’ve been giving away all my old Treasure magazine away but I know I don’t remember every story and I could just read them again. I’ve got enough Treasure stories in my mind that I’ve accumulated over the fifty years detecting to last me to the end.ha Chuck

I had went bye in the past at Grove Ok.where their office was I know until the end For a number of years the printing had moved to the west coast . Goldbrick I’m said nothing about anyone getting screwed. If the seller is happy and the buyer is happy then all is well. All the math I put down was just what it is and that’s bull sh__. The thing is the Tar cost 600.00 more than Nox . On that alone the Tar should do better. You say the Nox gets more depth than the CTX . If that’s what you say I’d say that’s great. Just tell me how the CTX got in this test when it was between the Nox and Tar. When we go buy a computer within a short time it’s outdated. Could it be the CTX is outdated by the Nox? Goldbrick by me saying that about the CTX I’ve open a can of worms that I may never get the lid back on . Goldbrick I wish you the best and never stop questioning anything I say . Maybe it would be best to take a look at the cost of each detector first before doing a comparison. You said the Tar. got 13” on the quarter and the Nox hit it at 10” Let’s look at it this way the cost of the Nox is 899.00 divided by 10”= 89.90 It cost you 89.90 per inch on the Nox to detect that quarter What’s the cost of the Tar. about 1500.00 1500 divided by 13”=115.38 cost you 115,38 per inch on the Tar. The thing is the Tar cost lots more and for your money you should be getting more depth, This based on what was said the original cost of the Tar. Chuck

I was with Lost Treasure from day one and with True Treasure before that . I too was in about two months of two years and I didn’t get the last issue . I myself just like the book in hand and willing to pay but what I want and what I get is another story. Chuck
