New Nokta Impact Metal Detector
Ridge Runner replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
Hi Nokta It's good to see a detector company doing whatever they can to get our money in making what the buyer wants. I know I need another detector to hold up one wall. That's what I tell my wife why I need more detectors. I'm thinking only of her so the walls don't fall in on her. The Best! Chuck Anders -
New Nokta Impact Metal Detector
Ridge Runner replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
Nokta thanks for the heads up on things to come. I myself like the detector display all up front so I know all my settings without having to look at the side of the detector box. I guess I'll just sit back and wait. Chuck Anders PS For a new kid on the block in the US you've got some great detectors. -
How Do You Deal With Claim Jumpers?
Ridge Runner replied to Rick Watkins's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
I don't give a warranty with this but worth a try. Collect snake skins from where ever you can get them. I do mean as many you can get your hands on. Then put them all over your claim and be sure to put one in the hole you've been working each time when you leave. Worth a try Chuck Anders. -
Fors Gold + Expected Ship Date
Ridge Runner replied to Nokta Detectors's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
It's good to hear gold + will be out soon. When Chris of Azoutback gets them I think he will make a video of it in the gold field. I'm like a kid in a candy store when it comes to a new detector. I couldn't find the price on any of your optional items. The thing with me is I want to cover on my detector are a stand to keep it protected from whatever comes my way. I got your email and I thank you. Feel free to send me any info of something new you got coming out. Chuck Anders PS The best is the written report that Steve gives on all detectors he comes in contact with. -
Fors Gold+ Coming Soon
Ridge Runner replied to Nokta Detectors's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
Californiagold Being you have had a longer run time with the fors gold than most people it would be good to hear your thinking on the plus. I'm already checking with Chris and when he knows more he'll get back with me. The Best Chuck -
Fors Gold+ Coming Soon
Ridge Runner replied to Nokta Detectors's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
If I don't get a cover and case with a new detector I just don't use it. Well not until I can make a cover and go buy the case. Like said we put out lots of money for detectors and we want it to last for years. On the charger it good to have one but I have other detectors that use AA batteries and came with a charger for AC plus car. Time will tell all on this matter. Chuck Anders -
Fors Gold+ Coming Soon
Ridge Runner replied to Nokta Detectors's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
It's always good to hear great news. Where oh where is is the racer gold I've been sitting on the fence waiting for? I just wanted to see what the racer gold had to offer maybe over the fors gold. More than one time I was going to go ahead and buy fors gold but now here is the plus. The trouble is it's plus more money plus less in the package. i just love a cover and case for my detector and that would be a plus for me. I must say I've never heard a bad word on your detectors and too the service is great it's been said. Well I need to go so I can bug Chris on Azoutback being he's a dealer for you. Thanks for the better than good news. Chuck Anders PS Don't you love it ? More new toys to play with and coils running out my ears. You can't buy on looks and the way I look I can't get the time of day free. -
More New Generation Coil Questions Than Answers
Ridge Runner replied to jasong's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
Jasong If I sold you the same year car every year would you keep buying it? Now I change the car up to look different than the pass year. This car is better than ever before. This new coil is one you can't do without being it can detect small gold better than any in the past. There is one now that is 12 inch and hitting the scales at 40 ounces and it's camo in color. It may be better than another 12 inch coil but I don't know. The only way I'll find out is to buy it. Now I've done what the company wanted and that is put my money out for a new coil. It could be the detector after detector are coils and we all keep spending to find the gold at the end of the rainbow. Chuck Anders -
John if it could ID the gold that would be okay. Now if I was to dig trash at that depth three times in a row it may be too good. It would be anything but good digging in hard ground that's for sure. Maybe where you are now it could pay off if one is hunting in a low trash area. If I was with you I'll swing the detector and I'll let you dig.HaHa Keep your money in your pocket until the Racer gold comes out to find out what it can do. The Best John Chuck Anders

Fake Garrett Pin Pointers
Ridge Runner replied to auminesweeper's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
Looking at some mag's with the word Garrett and the T's I'd say the bottom one. Chuck Anders -
Hey indainbullet The way it sounds to me your doing everything right. Read all you can about it but get out there swinging it is the best OJT ( on the job training ). Sometimes it best to dig the different sounds that coming out of your detector on items you detect.. Over time you will know what it is before you even look at the ID number on your detector. When you get to that point you and your detector become as one. Great first time out find. Chuck Anders

Maybe what you need is one plastic kids pool from Wal-Mart They are cheap and easy to blow up with your mouth. You can get them with one are two rings. When finish let the air out and don't take up a lot of space. Chuck Anders PS A solid plastic one may do you better. Light weight and don't have to worry so mush about punching a hole in it.

Minelab Go Find Metal Detector
Ridge Runner replied to Sourdough Scott's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
For fun I got the GF 60 from Chris on AZ Outback. I put my money down just because I like the looks and didn't expect a lot out of it. The first thing I had to do was cut the sensitivity down to stop the false signaling. The trouble with this you lose depth. Even with the detector set on the high end and everything else cut out I was still digging trash. You do get some things free with your GF on your smart phone But to get it all that will cost another 30 dollars. Chuck -
Auminesweeper If you and others will write a story and find someone to be the judge. I'm willimg to supply the prize of one 7 grain Ghost nugget. The nugget is thin like a leaf with one detector can see it and another not to be. I will also ship free to anyone in the world. The only thing I'd like for all people on other forums enter if they like. The Best! Chuck Anders

Hi Steve The Racer is running at 14 KHz and the Racer Gold KHZ is unknown at this time. You said something about using 28 KHz. I'm just wondering if your saying use both 14 and 28 KHz at the same time? If we can do it with a coin machine with a ID then why not a gold detector. On detecting a target you pull the trigger and it would go to one of the KHz. I just hope that you be the one to get their hands on the first that hits the USA. Chuck Anders PS Thanks for the Forum where we can talk about any and all detectors. Is it possible one could cycle between 14 and 28 KHz ?

Nugget65 What size coil do you have on the Fors Gold ? Whatever it is it must be singing loud and clear to you by the gold you've found. Chuck Anders

First Hunt with Minelab GoFind 60
Ridge Runner replied to walkerrj's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
Hey Steve Thanks for your reply. I have other detectors that will punch a hole in the ground a lot deeper that the Go Find. I have other reasons for wanting it. I hate to say this but age is starting to kick in and less weight will help. Thank you for your reply again Steve. Chuck Anders -
First Hunt with Minelab GoFind 60
Ridge Runner replied to walkerrj's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
I've got the Go Find 60 on order from Az. Outback. I don't think it's a video left that I haven't seen on the Go Find. At one time if we got a new detector you really didn't know much about it before hand. Time has changed as man goes beyond of being blind on his purchase anymore. I thank you ahead of time on what you may post. Any info we can get helps us all.I'll do the same and this will make us all a Pro with the Go Find. Chuck Anders -
Hi Nugget65 Great looking gold you found. You and others are proving that Fors Gold is more than just the name in finding gold. Here we are with a detector from another country that's a hit when we get our hands on it. I wonder how many more is out there waiting to be discovered and like the Fors Gold at a great price. Thanks for the post. Chuck Anders Hey Steve H. Have you had your hands on any of the Go Find detectors? I always like reading on what you have to say on a detector. I know what's said be it good are bad I know it's true. Thanks for your time you take on doing it. Chuck

Treasure Chest
Ridge Runner replied to Featherdfishead's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
That story about this guy and his treasure was in a back issues of Lost Treasure. I guess that's one way to make money off the sale of his book. He could always go pick up the treasure. This fits a joke. This guy had loan a mule to a friend. One day he told the friend he wanted his mule back that he was going to raffle it off. The friend said I have bad news. That was the mule had died last night. The owner said I want my mule back anyway. The friend said you can't raffle off a dead mule. The owner said I sure can. The owner of the mule had raffle tickets made. The friend ask will how did your raffle go.Well I sold 500 tickets at 2 dollars each. The cost of printing the tickets was 198.oo. What did the winner say went he found out that the mule was dead? Well he wanted his money back and I gave it back to him. With the cost of the tickets and giving his money back I still made 800.00 Maybe this treasure hunt could be the same HaHa Chuck Anders -
