  1. About three days ago this guy from Italy put a video on the ORX . He must of put it on the net sooner than Deus wanted because you can’t find it anywhere now.. I got another email from XP Deus this morning telling me what I have to look forward to in this exciting new detector. I was trying to think where I’d heard this before . I’m talking about the exciting part. Then it came to me , my ex wife said the same on our honeymoon.haha Chuck
  2. It’s several more videos posted. The only thing this one guy said and that was wee wee . I just don’t understand why a guy would ask another if he could go wee wee. Chuck
  3. Phrunt I think it’s like you said 2018 is a wake up call for a lot of detector companies. The trouble being if your product is not selling and no money coming in you could be another lost . I’d like to see all detector companies healthy . It’s good for them and us the buyer . Chuck
  4. Thanks Steve for your trouble! The odd thing is some of the lower end detectors face and controls look better than their high end ones . I still say they need to remove that doorknob off the 75’s. It’s too bad I can’t do as I do on my phone and that’s spread my fingers out to make it more readable. It’s just too much info that stays on the screen all the time. Chuck
  5. Just put it up in a dry place and take the batteries out and also take them out of the battery pack if it’s going to be a while. Never leave it where the sun will hit it . The reason is it has a foam grip it will get hard as a rock over time from the sun hitting it . Chuck
  6. I’ve been doing it for many years and the only thing you may get is electrical inference. I’ve never seen it have a effect after I went out to detect with it. Chuck
  7. If you look at Fisher and another detector First Texas makes without a name on them you can’t tell them apart . I’ve never owned a F series detector and I believe that it’s a great machine but on looks they all look like a relic . I guess this is another that hasn’t stepped into the 21st Century in more ways than one. They need to drop the F off for Fisher and put the F up that stands for First Texas. Then step into future with a new line and not the whole train . Chuck
  8. Goldpick It sounds as if you been swinging a Deus . I have in the past but it has been a while. I just like to look at any new detector coming on the market. Like I’ve said before the ORX being lite in weight will look good to a lot of people. The real problem will be the price and can only run in one frequency at a time. Chuck
  9. For me to want wireless coils the cost needs to come down lots . If I can keep buying wired coils for about a third of the cost of wireless ones that alone is enough as far as I’m concerned. Wireless headphones is something I don’t leave home without it and it’s something all can afford. Chuck
  10. Could it be that White’s didn’t like you say anything about another detector company with the same breathe ? Chuck
  11. I hope all has had a great year and today we give thanks for that. Let’s give thanks for family and friends be far are near. We only here for a short time so let them remember the love you had for all and you too will be remembered. Chuck
  12. Dubious You said White’s is looking for a design engineer and here I am sitting by the phone waiting for that call . I would think my phone should be ringing off the hook by now . Like so many things I just don’t understand it.haha Chuck
  13. I googled it up and found they come in many different sizes. Chuck
  14. I just found this video and the guy was saying what the price would be for the ORX. I think it’s been said already about 800 pounds are about 1022.00 US and that’s with the wireless headphones. He said without them it would be 700 pounds are 894.00 US . It was google that told me the dollar amount. I’m just not that smart to figure that out. Oh well they can ask anything they want . Chuck
  15. I was just watching a Deus video and this guy dug up what he called a crotal bell . The is it looks something like what we been looking at here. Chuck
  16. Steve I don’t know why you always have to be right but you are . I’ll eat humble pie and say I’m sorry about that. That’s why we got all these young kids on here to keep me on the straight and narrow path. Chuck
  17. I just got another email from XP Deus just minutes ago talking about the ORX but saying no more than I already knew. I guess the last day of November we’ll know it all. Chuck
  18. My ace in the hole was the Equinox 600 that I was going to slide next to the 800. In my opinion should push the price of all other detectors lower in price. This is all relating what the detector has to offer and how it should be priced. I could have put up any detector that was waterproof. Being waterproof was the first factor to come in to the evaluation of this post I started. I’m well aware that all detector companies will sell their product at a price that a profit can be made. I believe also some will still be buying single frequency detectors years from now . We humans will pay the price of something if we like it and a lot of people like single frequency detectors. If Minelab didn’t come out with the Nox all of us dumb butts would have been happy with what we had ! For over fifty years I’ve been happy with a single frequency detector but Minelab has really upset my apple cart. If I die today it will be nothing but unrest knowing I could have been swinging a Nox if Minelab had come around sooner.haha Chuck
  19. Both the MX Sport and the Equinox 800 are waterproof and that’s about where the two are alike ends. Now if we want to put the detectors that have the option to run in different frequencies then how would you place them in price? I speaking about the ones that have other frequencies but still run only one at a time . Now remember the Equinox is at the top with a price of 899.00 and a true multi frequency. Would you want to slip it in between the Sport and the Equinox in price? Maybe we could lower the price of the Sport and place the ones we’ve been talking about in it’s spot.. Just thinking out loud but everyone has their own opinion. Chuck
  20. Geotech I’ll take your 3 multifrequency detector if you can give me a better than average ID at 6 to 10 inches .I will need the weight off of it because age has caught up with me . l have no pride! I’ll take the senior discount.haha The Best To You Carl ! Chuck
  21. Deus keep saying the ORX will be out by the end of November. I find it hard to believe that someone in the good old USA don’t have one in their hands as I write this. When a new detector like the ORX hits the market so does videos and dealers telling you what they have you can’t live without. This flood of info is not generated over night but long before we see the first unit. It’s also talk if you really want to coin hunt with the ORX you may see the need to buy the X35 coil. As all know it don’t come cheap! This is just another detector that’s running one frequency at a time. I believe the thing it has going for it is being under two pounds. I think just about every grandkid I got could swing it . They talking about the price may hit around a thousand and with nine grandkids forget that. Chuck
  22. I see I need to clarify on what I said . If First Texas can come out with a detector equal to the Equinox 800 are better in what it has to offer and weight, I’ll make the trip. I just don’t see the need to advance to the rear when what I want is already here in the Equinox 800. The trip that I was talking about is six hundred miles but for some that’s on the market now I wouldn’t walk across the street for . Minelab has set the level in excellence with the Equinox 800 in capability, weight and price. I speak only for myself when I say this. The day of a detectors face covered in knobs is history and I came to that conclusion with my Eagle 2 in 1991. That has to be what 27 years back to 91 and yet some still don’t get it . That is anything less is less! Chuck
  23. Hey Fred I don’t see nothing wrong with that. A little of something is better than a lot of nothing. Hope they invite you back and you even do better the next time. One thing about gold it don’t make any difference if it’s small are large it’s still gold. Chuck
  24. Geotech ( Carl ) The day First Texas comes out with a true Multifrequency detector let me know. I will drive from San Antonio to El Paso with money in hand and buy it . I will also treat you to a steak dinner. I wish you well on this endeavor. Chuck PS Maybe it will go from First Texas to Texas First .
  25. Hey Buzzard Don’t feel bad about that . I can’t walk talk and chew gum at the same time anymore. Chuck
