  1. I don't beleive the coils were tuned to either version. Concentrics and DD's are compatible even from earlier versions. Of the dd coils the 10x12 widescan dd is a descent coil for relic hunting however if your hunting around a lot of nails and flat iron the concentric is better for that. The 8x11 DD that Tesoro made is not that good. not very sensitive. It was used on black versions of the Tejon, Vaquero and Cibola. I have both the Tejon regular and Cibola black edition and that particular coil performs poorly on both machines while the 8x9 concentric works incredibly well on both machines. Nel and Cors are made in Ukraine. As far as I know they have suspended production and do not export any product because of the war so if you do get one keep that in mind. The coil you should try to get is the 8x9 concentric to start out.
  2. There any pictures of one? If you have a broken one take a picture of it with a ruler next to it. If I can see the details and know the size I may be able to make one.
  3. My guess is for control panel realestate. There are machines that do have front speakers but are analog machines. Most speakers are plenty loud and even too loud. I prefer headphones and on machines that don't have critical nuances, on the ear headphones will still allow you to hear what is going on around you. Detector Pro has single headphones too.
  4. Zoomed in and yup yours is stampe. First thought it was a solid piece.
  5. Did you find anything good after that? If not it might be cursed! Looks cast maybe zinc? Details have undercuts from what I can see in the pics so it would be done with lost wax or rubber/silicone mold.
  6. Congrats! Couldn't think of a better person to find one other than myself! Way to go.
  7. Doesn't it collapse down to 24"? I have regular s-shaft machines and disconnect the middle pole and they fit in a 13x13x6 saddle bag. They stick out a bit but are secure. I pack the on my ebike to take to remote areas and haven't had any issues on trails. Does the middle pole on the Legend disconnect?
  8. I believe Nokta has a special on their Legend that doesn't have their headphones and is in that price range. You can use your own bluetooth headphones with that machine.
  9. Yup think your spot on that one, found this image of the cane. Good possiblility the rest is melted. I believe the original building had burned down at some point. I searched the area pretty well and did come across a small silver barrette. Area was heavily hunted over the years so pesky shotty primers all over. Their signals range from nickels to copper penny range so you got to dig them. Thanks for finding that info.
  10. Coke and coal are tough to hunt around. One trick I do on the Tesoros is drop sensitivity so the small stuff drops out to clean up the signal. Digital machines I've gone back to a Gold Racer and imask helps quite a bit. Pretty sweet crotal bell, hard to find those in good shape.
  11. And to think you been wasting all those hours walking around parks...... Congrats!
  12. Think it's Spanish American war commemorative piece. Seals are similar to this I found on the web.
  13. Is that what that stuff is on the silver, thought it mighta been tree sap. Go figure. Nice Rosie. I actually have more seatededs and mercs than rosies.
  14. If you zoom in on the pics you can make out some text. Might have to take a tooth pick to it and see if i can clear it up bit more.
  15. If you can't get permission you can always put a pair of running shoes on and carry a police radio.... should give ya 3 min head start 🙂 Old parking areas can have a lot of older deeper finds. Take your time and listen for the deeper stuff.
  16. I like relic hunting more than just coin shooting. I stumbled on the majority of my old coins while relic hunting.
  17. Been bit lazy posting stuff, mostly been coin and jewelry hunting and nothing spectacular to post. Earlier I started to hunt an area that had some old buildings at off the beaten path and was able to pluck this pewter handle out. Possibly ww1 era? Maybe a cane handle? Thanks
  18. Very nice run, think in one the other threads everyone said your about due for a gold :)
  19. That tungsten ring really looks good for a junker. Middle is pretty cool looking. All the kiddie bling your about due for a good one.
  20. If you have the 6" coil too toss that on and see if the machine behaves the same. Generally larger coils are more susceptible to emi.
  21. Stone is probably there too...... going back?
  22. Looks like someone took a 5k diamond out and tossed the ring back 😛 Nice find!
  23. MS2's are nice have a pair for my Tesoros. Couldn't bring myself to dish out big bucks for a pair as they can get beat up in the woods. Single volume control can be tough if your deaf in one ear and can't hear out the other.
  24. The MS 2's should be fine on it, volume should be loud enough. The waterproof headphones work well but are hard on the ears and audio is fixed. If your not dunking your head the regular ms2's should be fine. I often use them over the waterproof ones on my Seahunter MK2 when beach combing or wading.
