Bada Bing
Upgrade done. Found out some very interesting stuff from the dealer .......... Turns out I'm 40% more gullible, only in certain situations though. Cheers BB
jasong
Anyone had the new update out and on the ground yet? I can't get into the field for a while yet to try it out but I'm very curious if it's stopped some of the hehawing on salt, takes care of clay lenses better, runs smoother over rough ground, etc...? Or any noticable change in stability? I read on the Aussie forums that people are reporting being able to bump their thresholds up now. Any reports? Steve Herschbach
I am running it. Can't honestly say I see any difference on Nevada ground. If somebody had done the update secretly I would not know anything had changed.
beatup
I found the update very easy and simple once i remembered my password for the XChange 2 site.
WesD
I tried mine out in the CA motherload, and couldn't tell any noticable difference either.
1515Art
I tried mine out in the CA motherload, and couldn't tell any noticable difference either. thats 40% disappointing... at least the software update is easy to install, so this is a good start. jasong
Hmm, oh well. I was getting excited reading the reports about stability increasing. Good to know ML is doing updates though, bringing detectors into the modern age, opens up the door for interesting updates in the future like new timings and whatnot that could be real interesting.
WesD
I also dont notice any difference ground balancing with, or without the ferrite ring. Maybe it is catered to certain ground types?
Sourdough Scott
I see a slight difference in the sensitivity. A little better. And a more stable threshold.
