Popular Post Goldpick
At long last after many years of crushed and bent copper thimbles, I managed to dig up my first ever silver thimble. It was quite a deep and scratchy target with rhe Deus running the round HF coil, and being packed with soil thankfully it managed to retain its original shape. I been fortunate with many good finds over the last few months around the old house site, will post up some silver coins and relics later on.

F350Platinum
Great finds! Thimble is really cool, looks like you got a small bell there too. Too bad you didn't find the whole pistol but then you might have some 'splainin to do.

GB_Amateur
The condition of that thimble is impressive. I've seen antique thimbles in which some of the dimples have become holes. Needles can be forced through the metal and years of use can lead to that. Yours looks pristine. Maybe it was a display piece for the owner, or possibly it was lost shortly after being acquired. Either way you have an artistic but utilitarian item made of precious metal whose condition is nearly as high as it could possibly be. Thimble finds don't get much better than that!
