Were the volunteer military greeters there when you came through ?

Bangah is a city but it ain't the big city . Up country where hunters are common AND a steady stream of returning troops.  Probably many thousand such items before your passage.

I was in a band up there 'bout that time.........

It was a long time ago. We came back from Turkey in an Air America Lockheed L1011 that sucked in a blast door when it landed on the runway. 😬 We had to get out kinda fast, when they rushed us into the terminal someone decided we needed to go through customs and the metal detectors. We were laughing as we walked through them with our rifles. We were greeted alright! 🤣

This was a big military exercise shortly before all $#&+ broke loose over there. I think the Iran/Iraq war was going on, we were guarded by Turkish military the whole time. My unit "won" the exercise so we got a better plane home (except for the scare) Good times!

I've had a "colorful" life myself, metal detecting and RV'ing is a great finish. 🙂
