GPX Detech Mono Coils

Does anyone know if the older detech monos are flat spiral wound like the newer Ultra  sensing monos?

According to their website, yes they are, at least in the 11" size.

My understanding is that 'Ultra Sensing' is their term for the flat-wound coils. Anything that doesnt have that term on the coil is just std bundle wound.

That's what I always thought too, yet their website says the other 11" Coil is spiral too.

So, unless they've done some dodgy copying and pasting then it's likely spiral.  I like how they say Spiral Mound 😛

Maybe @PhaseTech could chime in being a dealer of the things.

My thoughts exactly......this seems likely. Just dodgy re-copying of text.

Yes, my Detech 15x8" was bundle wound, and really gutless on small gold contrary to their marketing for it.

The Ultra Sensing 11" and 14", the Super Deep 15" Mono, and the 15" Ultimate DD are all flat/spiral wound. 

All other Detech GPX coils are bundle wound to the best of my knowledge.
