Steve Herschbach
JP manufactures and sells the B&Z Booster. Originally designed for Minelab nugget detectors, it is an audio booster that works on most any detector that has a weak audio. Or people that have poor hearing. dewcon4414
Thanks Steve...... i was wondering if it was being used when those tiny nuggets were found? Obviously if it was people need to realize that. How sensitive is it to minerals.......... im thinking wet salt sand? Always looking for an edge Steve lol. It also makes me realize i just might need one of those PPer i have in a box and not used for years. Dew
Steve Herschbach
The B&Z does nothing to make the detector more sensitive. In fact it has nothing really to do with the detector. It just takes whatever comes out of the headphone jack and amplifies it.
dewcon4414
Thanks Steve ...... i did a little reading on them. Still curious....... was he in multi freq or one of the gold freqs? Could we get a picture or weight of the smallest one of those nuggets the machine would pick up in multi freq?

Jonathan Porter
I've been using the Equinox with audio straight out of the receiver unit and not using the B&Z at all (The EQ audio is perfectly fine straight to headphones without any real need for a booster), due to the hot weather I've been wearing my Camel Back for the water and my B&Z is permanently attached to that. Strongly suggest readers go to the Treasure Talk link and read the Important Update section, which goes a long way to explaining why as testers we can't specifically comment about a lot of aspects of a detector still under development. JP Some of the gold I've found with the Equinox, to put it into perspective size wise there is just over a gram of gold in the pic. 8
dewcon4414
Wow..... and to put that in perspective for water hunters.......1 grain = 0.06 grams. Xcal would pick up a piece of gold approx .3 grams and we know it depends on size and whats mixed with that gold. Impressive.
