Popular Post Randy Lunn
I always enjoy a trip to Quartzsite with beautiful weather and a warm sun. I love the solitude of exploring the lesser visited areas with the flowers beginning to bloom, lizards scurrying around and even a few bighorn sheep on the hills. Sometimes I even get lucky. On my recent trip with my Gold Monster I found two small nuggets, a 1.6 gram and a .05 gram. At the end of the day I drove into town and celebrated with a pizza at Silly Al's.
mn90403
We went to the coin hunt in Quartzsite on Saturday and then on to Tucson for another excursion. We didn't have time for nugget hunting. The desert was ideal and we had a good 1450 mile trip from Saturday until late Monday. Mitchel

AU_Solitude
Nice pieces! 1.6 grams is a good size nugget in my book, 90% of what I recover sits between .35 to .5 grams. ?
Popular Post klunker
Mr. Lunn SIR. Here I am where It's 20 degrees, all my detecting spots are covered in snow, there is a frozen fog outside and you have the nerve to tell me how nice it is in Arizona. It would cheer me up considerably if you reported having a flat tire or your head phone cable broke or some such little disaster. misery loves company. Nice gold. 5
Jim Hemmingway
Hi Randy… you would make an ideal prospecting partner!!! We share a similar interest in observing local flora and wildlife, and heading into town at the end of the day for dinner and maybe something cold to wet parched whistles. An ideal closure to a long day of digging and kicking rocks. Congratulations on the nuggets, the larger one is a real nice find. Thanks for sharing your trip with us, and for that excellent photo. WTG!!! Jim.
Randy Lunn
Klunker, This pic is for you ...... It is not all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows out here. My December trip to Quartzsite was not as productive. I am glad I had my bottle jack with me. The Plomosa Mountain gulches ate one of my tires. I am an old New Englander but do not miss the New Hampshire winters. Come on out here and join us!
