GB,

It's simple like this.

If you have it only on one ear your mind tends to dig to that side of the hole.

Now if it is on both ears you will dig in the middle of the spot and always find what you are looking for.

That is why you need stereo so that you can always get it right, but I know that you will always just dig a bigger hole than needed just to get the coin out of the ground.
