  2. Only when it looks battered, but that varies with the area that I'm detecting.
  3. That has made my day. I and the wife am better of than the average Swiss person with a nugget each that exceeds the 4 ounce laying around out of site.🤑

  8. The stuff in Aus. leaves a bit of residue but is easily removes with Turps.
  9. Once while digging in to some mullock heaps and throwing into one of the hole that was full of water after a heavy down pour (normally not much rain falls in part of the State). My mate was working the pond with a small 3" hand dredge. When I was a couple of feet deep, I dug into a snake hole and cut the snake into 3 pieces. Not noticing this I threw the dirt and snake in close for my mate to put it through the dredge. Not funny but I have never seen him move so fast.
  10. Due the location of the battery pack, have you tried to see the difference of balance with the batteries "on and off" with the different coils on.
  11. I thought you was going to say "about her turning 17" 🥰
  12. A lot of good gold was got from the pine plantation at Creswick back in the VLF days. Thanks for the memories, and best of luck finding all those ones we missed with the Garrets and Whites in the early 1980's. 😂
  13. These days car keys cost more to replace than a gold ring.😬
  14. Seems like it might be a battle on parks, but should pull up a lot of fine chains and earing on the beach that most detector miss.
  15. Norvic I am with you 100% but have ran out of likes to-day. I hope you get a lot before my likes are reset. 👍
  16. I am sure you will. It is nice to turn misfortunes into times of great happiness. let hope it is a 4 leaf clover day. 🍀
  17. You are wrong JP and I'm not against you but am against technique by dominating companies and people. But as it is bit of a bitch on my side (not bait) that the end of it for me till I see another case of unfair tactic or abuse against prospectors, even you as I know you have had. By the way I am not saying that ML don't make top class coils but some people don't like being dictated too with their choices.
  18. It might be a good idea for ML to put a chip in their earphones. The way companies think is beyond a fair go.
  19. It looks like she has had a major loss. Hope you can help her tomorrow Simon. Some of my best finds were for those that I helped to get back their lost treasures.
  20. It like ML making a top-class car and putting an immobilizer in, that won't work if you buy another entrepreneur's wheels. So they can restrict competition, against their bottom line.
  21. No! You should not throw it back!!! That is littering post it to me and I will dispose of it for you.
  22. If you use roof or guttering silicon and need to remove it try this. White vinegar or Methylated Spirts is an all-around cleaning agent for silicon. Remove with a plastic knife or scrapper then use the above to clean up the job.
  23. The big boys seem to think they can get away with it. By the way the comment was about locks put on coils not detectors with patented PI designs etc. The PI detector was bought and owned not rented from the big boys.
