This is one of the better videos showing what’s the setting and what the ORX can do . I’d like to see what the ORX would have detected on other US coins and maybe a few gold rings. Another video this guy was running the ORX and was showing each time what he found with it . The only problem he didn’t show the ORX in action not one time. I talk with a dealer if he knew of any new videos on the ORX and he came back saying it was one on the HF coils. I must say he’s right on the coils but you’re finding them on the XP Deus with nothing said about the ORX. Maybe the commit I made on another post was correct in after all the unboxing they boxed them back up and returned them. Good bad are indifferent I still want to get my hands on one and try it for what it is . I just can’t convince myself to let go that much money on something I think it’s over priced. Then if I don’t like I got to pay someone to take it.haha Chuck

I too didn’t get the December issue either but that’s what you call life . I can say over the years it’s been great reading and I was getting it from day one . Chuck

When the TDI first came out I got one of the first two hundred out the door of White’s. The first hunting I found myself doing was in Ms. beach and I found myself digging nails. Like always about the last thing I do is read the manual and where I was at the time I didn’t have it with me anyway. Right off I had it digging nails. Like the video with Tom I started moving the pluse around and with a little testing . I too found out by moving the pluse above 10 I could block out nails. The great thing I was still detecting coins and one ring I can remember for sure. It wasn’t long after that the TDI went south like not working. I sent in and it came back with same trouble. Well this went on two more times and Jimmy S. called White’s with that I got a new one . I wanted the first one back working so when not the case I sold the new one. Back then I didn’t post and forgot about what you could do with the TDI until Tom’s video. Thanks Steve for posting it and to you Tom for making it. Chuck

Northeast The guy next door married his tenth wife after he moved in . He past away last year and he was about a year younger than myself. Whatever made him so great didn’t show on the outside and I say this because he wasn’t bigger than a popcorn fart . The sad thing they couldn’t have a regular funeral. So his wife had him cremated and that was because they couldn’t get the smile off his face . Chuck

Even at 77 I’d taken the other. I guess that’s why I’m on my second wife now. It hard for a old hound dog to stop wanting to hunt. Chuck

Steve I wish I could say what you told me was something I didn’t know . It helps to have a full print of the owners manual and reading all what frequencies each coil can run in including the X 35 coil . I came to the conclusion long ago that the 9” round coil would fill my needs in the ORX if I buy one . Just like you so many people on the forum want to help and that’s what makes this forum great . aufarmer You are correct in that I don’t need it but if I wanted to hunt in the lower frequencies I would. If I wanted to hunt in the higher frequencies above the the 9” round I would need another. That I would cost if I go lower are higher and to go with both is beyond reality. aufarmer you jump on bandwagon quick. Just one question for you and that’s do you swing a XP Deus ? The Best To You On What Ever You Swing . Chuck

If I need this X 35 coil to coin hunt then why would XP people say I can coin hunt with the 9” round HF coil . If I add up what they want for the ORX and the X 35 coil to make it a working tool is a lot . You may not believe this but if you add up the cost it comes to 1324.00 . You may not feel the pain in the backside when I said the total cost but I sure did . Chuck

The video tells me if I want to coin hunt I need to get the 9” round coil but to nugget hunt get the other. Then I’m told that the ORX was aimed at nugget hunting. Okay it’s not that my hearing is bad but why would the ORX have two modes each for coin and nugget hunting if totally for the latter? When I first heard of the ORX coming out and so short on weight my thinking this is the detector for a not so young fart anymore. Right off I don’t have the habit of paying more for less . Maybe down the road when XP people wake up and realize that the ORX is in bad need of a update I could just maybe make a buy . The XP Deus that I had sometime back was a great detector but even it could use a update now and then. Chuck

I think that I still have some True Treasure and Treasure World. I’m devastated that it was said that some of Long John’s stories may not be true. Him and Mel Fisher was my hero’s . I always went by Mel’s motto and that was . How many of you know it ? haha I don’t know about you but each time I go out I take a positive attitude that the day is the day I find that Treasure. I never put a size on Treasure . It’s been lots of time I’ve come home with nothing but the pleasure of out there detecting. Treasure hunting is like fishing in its not the one you found but the big one you didn’t find . ( as in got away) Chuck

I was just wondering if you had the opportunity to test a new detector before it came on the market would you be willing to do it ? Most of the time it’s given to people you could say that their name is in lights . We have so many people that has been swinging a detector for years that are more qualified than the so call star . Let me hear your view point on this subject . If you ever have the pleasure or opportunity to do it in the pass let us hear that too . Chuck

From what it’s worth department after what was said about the word Invader I done a search. I came up with that word is used more than I got kids and grandkids. So with that said I don’t see a problem using it. I really don’t care what they name it . I just want it to smoke anything on the market now. Chuck

Texas has Treasure Coast and I got a map showing where you can find three different ships. I have pictures showing what was found by treasure hunters and what was found after Texas ran them off. This happen in 67 and then it was made a National Sea Shore In 68 so you can’t hunt it with a detector. I’m sure some may do it but it could be bad . Chuck

My thinking to have a really great gold show you need to be in gold country to start with. It’s a long drive for me from San Antonio to Phoenix but I’m going to do my best to make it. It’s just a more exciting time had there than others I’ve made . Chris do you think maybe you will be there and Steve too ?
