  1. I have always used full tones on any machine I owned, I feel the Deus 2 full tones are pretty dam ordinary, I need to be able to pick out the high tones from all the can-slaw and pull-tabs everywhere. If using limited tonal options I have to screen watch all the time. The Deus 1 was a dream to use yesterday, mush easier to pick out the 1 and 2 dollar coins without blending the tones together. I was considering selling mine to Chase, but I may have to hang onto it a little longer.
  2. I would bury a couple of coins in the sand and test the sensitivity from 21 -35 to see whether your gaining anything. Also up the reactivity/recovery speed a little, that will improve the machine on mineralized beaches and cut down on false signals.
  3. I went out yesterday with my Deus 1, using full tones on the hot program, gosh it sounded sweet, I just hope for a nice surprise when its eventually finished.
  4. Yeah it feels that way doesn't it, I bought mine just as the the 0.71 update came out. It's a disappointment we have been waiting so long without any official word, just rumors to keep our spirits up.
  5. Yes totally, I think its being played out to get more views. Brass Medic's video I found very professional and he certainly knows what he is doing.
  6. Thats a real bummer Chase, it is so disappointing when things like that happen. I see CD on YouTube has a faulty button on his 900, not sure which button but...it is faulty as well.
  7. Nice day out with the added bonus of Gold, congratulations.
  8. I just done a quick search of the bigger distributors in Australia, no one has any in stock, pre-order only.
  9. Thanks Eric, that certainly puts the sizes in perspective when you have something to go by.
  10. Thanks for the write up Dan, looks like a nice upgrade good luck with it mate.
  11. I just wish the boat would come in so we can get back to some normality. It gets a bit tiring reading the same old fluff thread after thread.
  12. Yer some coils do become favorites that's for sure. Looks like there both very capable coils anyway. I will see which one I can get a better deal on.
  13. Nice hunting Erik, I might have to get one of those bigger coils myself. Going to get back into beach detecting as soon as my back will let me. Do you prefer the Minelab coil or the Coiltek. And Geof_Junk I have always found more 2s than 1s wherever I go... I always thought it was because they were smaller but your explanation seems more logical than mine.
  14. Must be getting close that new update, I see Nokta has new version for the Legend, all be it in "Beta" though. But at least they have something to try. I am all for them getting it right before releasing it but the suspense is killing me.
  15. Yep its got me wondering as well, some shops had the 900s in stock within a couple of days after the announcement. I can walk in tomorrow and grab one if I so desired. No Manticore's though, I need to pay a deposit and wait in the Que....
  16. Just finished watching a couple of his now, that Manticore sure looks sweet. Those tones are crystal clear, looks like a deep machine thats for sure.
  17. Wow what a lovely field, congratulations on those finds.
  18. This is me Jeff, I love that little transmitter with small ear buds, that is the one thing that is missing for me in the 700,900 range. That audio is fast and very accurate, I only use the over the ear phones on the beach when its windy.
  19. Thanks for taking the time and sharing your info and finds F350. It was a good hunt, you ended up with some nice results in the end.👌
  20. The 11x13 looks better for coverage but I don't really think it would be much deeper than the 11. Saying that, it maybe a hair difference, but in theory there wouldn't be much between the 2 as its still only 11 wide. Just my take on it, I may be wrong though. By the way I use a 9 and its suit my style very well.
  21. Yes Simon was thinking the same, choices, choices and more choices.lol
  22. Australian Pricing: Equinox 700 = $1199 Equinox 900 = $1699 UK Prices: Equinox 700 = £799.00 Equinox 900 = £1099.00
  23. I would say any update for the Equinox will be non existent now, it has been placed into the new Equinox 700 and 900.
  24. That's a great idea, its good to see that from XP.
  25. I have also found PWM tones on aluminum tends to give a very loud tone, I will go back and try the square tones again after the next update.
