  1. Great Hunt Buddy! Love the old signet and the English Hallmarks...The engraving on the front is very special also.. You have to be near to getting the "AQ" soon...
  2. I know this is not going to help...For I use All Metal only when I hunt.....Every beach is so different on it's habits it's really hard to predict what you may encounter... And I know the frustration of digging a deep target for 10 minutes only to find it is trash. I have a spot that is loaded with that stuff...but I have reconned the area very well with the excalibur and made a map in my mind on where to hunt and where not to. Also I marked several of the solid nulls by digging two scoops, there won't be a hole there but the hole will fill with a finer grain sand, which I can tell its softer when I go to dig. This will hold good for about 3 weeks.. One thing I have noticed at other beach's and this one ..seems the crab pot pieces collect in some areas. And my guess is because that's where the cage broke down. I do find strays but they are shallow most of the time and on the move. So far that is my fight against digging those babies.. Mapping out the area, then I'll be going in with the AQ...I'll let you know how that goes. It has worked before at one other location. Good Luck..
  3. The broken ring had me fooled when I first pulled it.. But after closer inspection it is rolled gold. (heavy gold plated) Dating it I would say this one is the 1920's...The area I am hunting did not come to life till that time period. I have a few spots I would say late 1800's is possible but that is about as old a area I have hunted. The older locations in the water here are all off limits.. Historical. London Town is one, 1700..Great stuff in the water slowly being destroyed by the Brackish water.
  4. Thanks for posting Reese! Mike did great!! Two beauties!! Keep us posted on your adventures...and Mikes.
  5. Today 3 Hours and 23 Minutes. tides were low so I went deep...signals were far and few between for over a hour. Decided to move in a few cuts and things picked up. Plenty of coins which are a good sign. Most signals were in the 12 to 14 inch range in a hard shell, sand , clay mix. All gave good signals and I was kind of surprised how deep some were. No faints today.. other then the few I found hunting out deep. Settings volume 8, all metal, delay 11, sensitivity 6, threshold 4 to 5. ATS 6.... Todays treasure ...one 10k....one 14k..2 silver dimes. Batteries coming along, taking each out for a short hunt...then a full charge and shipping... Have 4 going out this week coming. Should be 4 the following week also, so I will be contacting several of you AQ Pirates' on the details. Think I have a list of 15 and should be able to fill all with in the next month, order 56 more 18650 batteries.....Taking a break after that...
  6. Good report TVR, water levels the next few days are really good so I will be out Sunday,.. looks like. I may have close to 100 hours on the "AQ" ..Plus the time I spent testing. After all of this I'm still not confident enough to take the "AQ" to any beach. Hopefully we will see the smaller coil by christmas which I think will help in the trashy area's. How you doing on Pinpointing...And what do you think about the bigger coil swing speed? Interesting to note what someone in our area see's with the "AQ".
  7. Your on the roll Cliff!! Be interesting to see your compare with the MDT...Did the battery go 5/30 for you?
  8. Some good winds starting Thursday...Get ready. Cancel that...Still not doing what it should ...Maybe the weekend.
  9. O'Boy there goes the Bay Gold!! 👀 Good report TVR, good to see another "AQ" in the Bay. Up the rivers and coves water is nice and calm and I seen the same with the AQ..you can run it Hot! That brass ring and bottle top is a great sign of the age of the area your hunting. We start to get those NW/N winds water will start to blow out some..
  10. Thank you! Best to you Valens! Welcome! And I agree. The only one missing is Rick....He put in many hours.
  11. I would say no doubt a coin ring..........Any 14k gold with a inset has to be something special. I think a jeweler is your best and safest Opp. You have a picture of the Hallmark or Fineness mark on the ring? That may help some on the ID of the ring. The piece looks rather crusty but I know some you can let them soak in water and then hold at a angle under the light and makeout faint details..
  12. Thanks Mike! I fully understand. I'm getting out about once a week now but hopefully this winter things will easy some. Been working on the batteries of late...
  13. Thank You Alexandre!! And Thank You and the Team for all the work, time and effort that it took to get the AQ out !! Hats off to the Team!!
  14. Thanks Cliff! Yes. I was Very Blessed to have the chance to own one of the first and Out of respect to all of those who have waited and are still waiting... I have asked Rick to save me the very last "AQ" Limited if possible.
  15. Thanks Cliff....I just sent in all of my silver for the last 18 months..Amazing I got 1598.oo Thank You!...I agree on the Class rings, I've got several from the teens also, the designs are so interesting. Thanks Buddy...Yes I would say the 30's possibly?
  16. Thank you Rick for the sale. I love the "AQ"... I'm Amazed every time I go out how deep it is...It really can Awaken spots that no other machine can. Thank You! Yes badly stain, which I do enjoy bringing them back to life. And Yes, These are not signals that say I am here.............Very faint "Halo's" which others have walked right past. Thanks TVR! Yes we have had some Crazy water levels the last week. Looks a little better this weekend from what I see, not sure about the winds but maybe another outing.
  17. WInds and tides have been bad the last week along with other projects keeping me busy. So to mix the project side of it I took CDV's battery out for a test spin Weds. Not a lot of targets but scored the 10k Class ring early. As soon as I walked out I got a buffalo, small medallion then the gold ring. The AQ seems to dislike silver even in All metal mod...but loves nickels..both medallions are brass. Gold #22 for the AQ..depth on the 8.4 10k I could have sworn 2 feet but measured around 16 inch's..
  18. Since they are in the coil making mood,....... I hope we see the 8 inch AQ coil before christmas..
  19. 18k no matter the size is rare now days...Very Nice Save!
  20. Great pictures of the Angry Surf Gods doing there thing! One thing about treasure hunting, you just never know..
  21. Boom Baby! What a great way to break in a new machine! Very Nice!! Sent you a email on your battery..
  22. I agree! Very Good Report and day out...! Once you get in tune with the AQ it's like you don't want to use anything else..
  23. CC......... I Prefer using using the larger M-12 CTX fitting for I think it is stronger, more durable, and IP68.... I can fit the battery with the smaller ..(M-8...IP67) if you like. It's a few dollars more (10.oo) but when I get to your name (Or others on the list) I'll contact you to see which you prefer..or you can tell me now. Ten dollars is a lot cheaper then having to buy new head phones.
