  1. Well...You made it all in one hunt๐Ÿ˜‚ payed back for the month of research. In almost 18 years I found just one wedding band of 11.1 grams and trust me, I was shocked. Well done.
  2. It doesn't matter for the really small one...but the 1.5 baby still sounds very good in that soil and for me, poor damn beach hunter this is honey sweet โ™ฅ๏ธ
  3. Unless for the kind of erosion we need...Without salt interference and colder water it doesn't seem like a bad idea to check for some extra cash๐Ÿ˜
  4. Black sand... Magnetic as the isle's name Erik... So You definitely might want to activate the magnetic reject just to try if something change in performance. I also have a long beach with heavy black texture but without my Deus in the hands I can't say more for now. However, in your video, it looks like You tried In a relatively "clean soil", I mean there's no trace of mineral bars appearing on the screen down to the left...You might expect that area to fill with bars when the ground is bad...
  5. I'd say the same thing, but let me tell You what changed drastically my goldhunting life 8 years ago... I started in 2005 Just reading some informations. My first toy was an ace 250 and for almost three years I cleaned any kind of trash among dry sand being far from water due to the poor wet attitude of it. I was on the beach with the only intention to go out alone in peace after I lost my father.Headphones noise was a therapeutic process to keep my mind elsewhere. One day I decided to improve the instrument and I bought a CZ21 able not only to hunt the sand but the water too. I just improved one third of the needs to be successful. After two days, my first gold ring appeared among the sand of a little remaining cut near low tide line. A 9 grams wedding band. I dug hundreds of holes in those days, moved only by the mind challenge for a new instrument and the will to find finally a ring as a life or death goal. The fever caught me. After this moment I was only repeating a useless cycle of unproductive behaviours, traveling for unknown places, at the wrong time, during storms finding waste of money on the road. Environmental rules were my weakness and my lack of knowledge too. So the first find was only for luck. So I bought books, I tried to apply knowledge to my area with slightly better results. The other missing part is that every single place has its own history, influence and human's behaviours. As long as You research all of these things before to explore, for sure You'll see a dramatic difference in Your finds. The beach by the way can be a rare nightmare for everyone attempting to start the hunt for gold. If You hunt inland, You can have way more time to hit an area, instead to follow dozens of factors involved by the sea's conduct. So today I can frankly say, no matter what You use, if You want to find gold, follow the steps as a mission. Of course the time of this process is the major investment but the glory has its price and sooner or later You'll smile on it. All the best.
  6. I'd try to use a pitch mode instead. And recently, as I've seen on the skill school on the official XP Channel, in really hot soils the use of gold mode can also give You a chance.
  7. Sure...I don't even know if submerged I'll be able to tweak my personal program like I want on the D2... But the intention of my post is to understand if with tones, on the D2 it is possible to create an audio discrimination to avoid the salt falsing to compromise gold/foil signals.. Right now, it appears clearly that EMI sounds are in the higher tones area...Unluckily salt is really low on the other side near 25/28 Imho... And I received a bad new on the arrival of my unit... Till the end of this month, I can only wait... Too bad
  8. I casually found this video, looking for other frequency related things, but I found even more interesting this one, cause of the latest discussion on salt falsing and tiny, thin, micro or call it like You want but gold. I'm a scuba diver, so I have specific needs, but all of You beach hunters in saltwater can add obviously your point of view. So, fact N.1, the Orx and the Deus 1 are involved in this test and seems pretty clear that not having available multiple different tones, the Emi is terribly in a mix of signals and among those, the ring can be easily missed and misunderstood without fault. I think on the Deus2 in the saltwater can be almost the same thing...Especially running frequencies over 20 Khz. Fact N.2, with a different tone set, the saltwater falsing can be in someway identified with a specific tone if not so variable on the TID range....I don't want to affirm this, maybe to ask is the right way.... I don't know if I'm seeing an open window for the gold fever or just a dream...So feel free to write any thought You may have..
  9. I'm sorry๐Ÿ˜‚... Now It makes sense. So the higher the salt sens. level, the more falsing Is reduced๐Ÿ™
  10. Reading only now, so Sorry for late reply... Honestly I can't say anything until I don't check personally the beach sens. program for my purpose... And I think maybe the opposite thing on salt sens... I mean, how can raising up the salt sens. detune the machine to low conductive items? Is It a reverse filter or what? I suppose this happen when someone set It near 1 or 2... ๐Ÿคญ
  11. I might be wrong, but the only light in the tunnel i see Is to try to keep focus among salt falsing to hear a more solid signal...An hard challenge, maybe obtainable with high enough salt sens to hear a faint nervous audio, but still manageable.
  12. Good to know....Still remains to understand if reducing the value, without to touch a 90/95 sens., the filter can kill the higher frequency to calm down the sound... Which Is exactly what I want to know notching a precise interference with GB, instead of removing with disc a middle area where foil can fall... We'll see๐Ÿ’ฃ
  13. Glad You're confirming my toughts on settings... By the way I'm still waiting for my unit without a minimum idea of the arrival. I tested one of the really first batch machine owned by a man from abroad, but really touched the hearth of It within minutes...Now I miss the seabed with It to check if I'm right... However, the GB option in manual Is unavailable in beach sens...I believe You're forced to use grab... You can Always use a General matrix to modify what I said. Good luck Brother. Gold in mouth.
  14. I can say Just a couple things on this machine. Unluckily the time I had to understand settings and manage to use It well, was too short... I found almost all of the programs plenty of tons options and being a diver, I'd maybe never use a third of what this detector can do in other locations. For sure, maybe for the first time, I enjoyed on the Deus2 the freedom to fine tune the machine like I wanted for. After 8 years with a Ctx I still can't find a way to be sure of the famous full spectrum at work. If I remove the seawater filter in the water Is crazy noisy unless detuning sensitivity, If I set a manual noise cancel channel higher to the 10/11 I see minimum difference on the tiny objects conduct. The depth Is stupidly low under sens 20 and way too noisy over 24. Auto+3 doesn't change so much. Silent? Blind.... The 6" coil seems to be the only way to open an opportunity window, but useful only when the ground zero Is open for service. The ground balance Is a blind operations among the auto and the manual, without ground phase shown, without to know what the hell it happens after doing It causing even more false signals. So...I mentioned a Minelab masterpiece for the Age, before the Nox went, steep price stable even today..For what? Today I don't give a dam if a shaft I don't like Is bad, if a cable on It Is worst than usual coil cables and even don't think about a flying remote. I still think about half of the price on the Xp compared with ML and the fact that big gold disappeared a lot in a decade. So new tools with high frequency, possibly usable underwater are a gamechanger on thin gold. I'm sure there's tons of tiny invisible targets in my usual hunted gulf. I had proof the last summer, only when on a rock covered bottom I found two bracelets where million of times I've been without a signal. Old stuff, not fresh drops. I'm not the best in the area, I'm not so lucky to hunt at the right time cause I'm forced to work partially and the Sea doesn't wait... No instrument had been able to hear an open chuncky piece and a thin Ricci One... Clearly, I found It only cause of less sand than ever. Even a Child snorkeling and playing with rocks can do It... So I want to go downthere and find what's uncovered by others (included me)... At a certain point, I can trade some defects, but no way I'd be unhappy if the tool works like i want It. My 252 cents....๐Ÿฅฒ
  15. Actually....I'm evaluating the rc jack adapter as a possible trick to make a personal tuned headphone... Once You cut away the female end with bare wires, life Is easier๐Ÿ”ฅ. At least for connections... The big part of the work still remains to find really good stuff for speakers and to know how much power to put in the game.
  16. Jeez Joe....What a shot!!! I consider myself lucky if in a total of 20 sessions I managed to bring home a third of the weight in 2021... That's the proof of a master's hand๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. Your first test matches my test, unless for some settings You need to try... By the way, really funny storytelling for sure๐Ÿ˜‚
  18. I'm not in favour or against any machine involved in this test but.... Honestly, after I tested the D2, frankly speaking I don't understand the meaning to use a 0 reactivity in such condition. Also, the minimum signal still audible at that level, clearly say to investigate more. I suppose at 1.5 or 2 was the honest reactivity to put in the game. I'd love an AQ and I was one of the more interested for It, but facts are clear and there's no way for me to dive with It...Wait...when Is another unknown factor.
  19. You'll never know until You have proof of It. Try to act in this way to intercept for weight instead of metal type. After the pulltab, do a circle around the hole moving the coil tightly. No signals?, Do another larger circle and keep trace of the coil path dragging the shovel/scoop/spade You use. Generally, You can find heavier stuff down on the slope, under the pulltab hole. On the other hand on a flat ground this can happen on the other side, far on the upper side of It. As an example, a new hump, after an erosion period Is higher than the previous level of sand. This mean that the lower level Is now on the upper side of the beach, towards the dry. In any case, I'll fly away for other spots soon as I can when this happen. Always check for firm ground under your feets. Try to keep your focus on targets and ground status.
  20. I can only say...I'm in love with this 8" one and with the sharp sound of any hit๐Ÿ”ฅ
  21. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Actually I found an interesting middle range among two clouds and Steve's words...๐Ÿ™ We'll see the next week if I'm wrong...Or not๐Ÿ’ฃ
