  1. I`ll definitely stick to backing up to a hole against a tree base.
  2. Just a thought, note from other thread we are interested in the same reading matter, just wondering perhaps books may be another forum or sub titles to each forum, just a area we can go to where the book titles are together.
  3. All new to me and of interest to me, also the ThermoFisher.
  4. Interesting subject on latency, what is the latency of say copper wire vs latency of diff. wireless (Bluetooth etc)? Just thinking with coil copper wires to control box then copper wires from control box to headphones. What do XP use on the Deus that does away with that copper?
  5. Interesting read, note the fellow who was "against" PIs, suggested perhaps we should be using coils that have no windings like Satellite dishes. Thinking outside the box, interesting. On a lighter side the post that suggested Treasure hunters were a different race, food for thought, my Treasurer agrees...........
  6. Gotta agree, if you don`t get gold with the Z & 14, the 19 may not help you, just slow you down which may help you.
  7. https://blog.csiro.au/finding-gold-rush/ Not for us folks but maybe of interest.
  8. A tit-bit on Jack, apparently he grabbed a Z when they came out but had to sell it as he has metal in his knees from reconstructions. Many Thanks Steve for adding Kindle links.
  9. I would JP no worries, but am a long time(from last century) customer of George now Peter. My son is coming up for a Xmass detect and hopes to pick one up in Pete`s new T`vle shop, maybe they`ll be in by then. Sons got himself a 19, wants to flog my patches something about me leaving it laying around...........
  10. Hopefully will have one in Santas bag hanging off Xmass tree, I`ve been a good lad. True a bit steep in price but if it is the usual ML quality might be worth it.
  11. Crikey, like back in 42 we`ll have to send a bunch of OZies over to sort this out................ General Candy conscript a few thou.
  12. He writes a bit too, his book Jack Lange's Gold Hunting Adventures and Tips (Australia link) is available on Kindle it is a good informative practical read. Edit by Steve H - here is U.S. link
  13. Sounds good, just had a look through your forum list, for specific stuff I just go to that forum via the flag that is alongside each recent post. That feature makes it a breeze getting into specific topics. Would be handy to have coins, relics, jewellery & geo subjects collected together under their respective headings, go to them easy using the flags. I note you have specific forums for US States, other countries and OZ, maybe a name change just to Downunder to cover us all in the Southern Hemi, but for me as is, is AOK. I just love coming across the pond to this, the Worlds Top Prospecting Forum.
  14. For me, it will not compete with the Z, no way, but it "may" replace what I do use the SDC for primarily, that is to help in the recovery of deep Z gold. It is only a single channel PI, that limits it greatly in my experience, but those adjustments "may" help offset this. There its weight and its ability to use the PIs coils make it attractive, I`m thinking along the lines of a sadie coil, to complement my use of the Z. Who knows it might do this admirably, in which case a shortened shaft and slung on the back of backpack may be the go. But this is just speculation, only way to find out is to try one, or to wait for a review from a reliable independent user. However at this stage it appears it is not near ready for the market.
  15. I think the contenders are keen, well this one is, well was, just need a QED to review. Has anyone who has paid for one been given a time when they will receive theirs?
  16. Bummer, so even when using a US link it reverts to local availability. Cunning buggers wont let us workaround things. Not to worry found one in OZ (used hardcopy) on the way, should be here for Xmass, but the Kindles certainly the go, complete library in your pocket, well big pocket.
  17. Crikey, Santas definitely coming to the UK, send him downunder.
  18. Yeah, Steve checked out again, not available, have a look at the box on RH top of page of your link, unless that box is just for us in OZ, in which case you wont see the box. Just love the Kindle, instant book no waiting.
  19. Got one here in OZ on the way, unfortunately not available for Kindle.
  20. Watch him, he`ll only give 30% max.............
  21. Paul, true what JP says it doesn`t make gold, but it gets the small stuff deeper(1 gram +), not just the big stuff. One big advantage of it, it is heavy & awkward, there is no way you can swing it fast & high. Sort of a governor unless of course your Arnie, and at least 30% stronger then us mere mortals. I`m building up expectations, for plenty of sales, so as ML have plenty of dough to R&R the Z8000. Whoops R&D
  22. Well that`s a story that illustrates the old saying "Gold brings out the best in mans ingenuity, the worst in his nature" Also that specimen has got to rank amongst the most beautiful for sure.
  23. Take your time and have a good look about when you go back to get that pick, there is a good reason why you left that pick behind.
