  3. That nugget tray on the fronts a dead give away, Paul has a pick wielder out front for recovery........ No way could the Z wielder reach out there without multi false signals. Bloody becoming a gentleman sport.
  4. Starting to look like a ML in the hand is worth at least 20 QEDs in the bush, correct me if I`m wrong but it`s sort of a feeling we`ve been here before.................
  5. SDC got a Pro Sonic, I`ve ordered a CTX, time to get serious about jewellery instead of that boring old au all the time.................... Just kidding it`s never boring.....
  6. On ya Swifty. tis a magic coil, just the beginning for you.
  7. Re reading your post JP, tis the same here with a well flogged patch, don`t know how I left so much with the 5000 for the Z14, now with the 19 I am shaking my head, some of the pieces I would think weren't beyond the 2100, 3000, 5000 etc nor the Z14. But proof is in the finding, same ground same operator............just shake my head, no doubt with the next Z, software upgrades, or coils etc as ML develop ZVT more it`ll start again. A question.... does the auto ground balance slow down(take longer to adjust) in normal over say difficult? Just a feeling I have that may help explain some of the finds. I have found the Z14 in manual GB has given some results on deep stuff in rock strewn surface ground but not yet tried with the 19, Bogenes too will try, tis one such patch as you have. Try everything because I know the bloody stuffs still down there.
  8. No JP, I`ve sent the lad home, let him toil at his everyday job and leave us fellows to do our thing. On ya, wish you a top 19 new year, give you a race to first oz plus piece in new year.
  9. Lovely gold. for me that size and that depth doesn`t sound out of reach of the Z. It is early days for the Z it has only been out and about for not quiet 2 years, now with the 19 the more I use it the more I realise ZVT requires a different approach then the PIs to achieve its full potential.
  10. That CTX screen is what I want in the heads up, rather then knobs I prefer the menu screen to set detecting settings, plus that makes it more easily waterproofed. Audio an option that can be turned off or on, heads up in the lower part of glasses lenses as per bifocal lenses. Why not we have the technology.......... Visually we have much better perception then audio surely, take away our hearing and we can still operate, take away our vision and we are stumbling in the dark. Use that user vision capabilities detector manufacturers to enhance our detecting or keep flogging tired old tech.
  11. Crikey that`s the wtg, get someone else to dig and recover. But good to see you`ve blooded the 19. Congrats top team work.
  12. Heads up display on my glasses, allows me to see the country and target response, ID etc instantly. Why do we need sound??........
  13. Yeah JW was very solid, standing upright jammed between two rocks down about 18" or so. JP we`ve had dry no humidity at all, until today which was a stinker so hopefully the wet is coming. Sort of got a bit excited for the son (re hijack) what a way to blood his 19. He`s over the moon of course. Thank you for understanding.
  14. Was cool seeing the jewellery amongst the grass and dirt, displays what you do with your detector. I`ve got myself a CTX coming, the Deus is great on coins, just not getting the jewellery so in the New Year I hope to change that and get amongst the jewellery a bit. Although I think I`m going to have to stop being so selective with signals just a wee bit.
  15. MN, We are having, well so far, a very dry relatively cool summer, thus extended our season, I suspect it is the same down JPs way ( about 600ks south on this big patch called OZ). Although lets face it once the Goddess of Gold has got you in her grip, she rules, a hot, cold, wet, dry or whatever Mumma Nature throws at us kinda day, doesn`t matter. As long as we can get the coil near the ground.
  16. Magic presentation on the digging tool, ground & grass, highlights those top finds.
  17. This mod is the go, very effective, light, tough and easy to do. http://www.detectorprospector.com/forum/topic/2700-the-z-19-skid-plate-modification/
  18. No Paul he found another patch, got the sulks when he realized I left him nix on old patch, he wandered off and found his own 10m from vehicle. The magic of the 19, and JP conservative settings, left a 0.4 gram(floater) and 2 lead shots for the 14 amongst the rocks. Top Merry Xmass Frieda, JP and family.
  19. The devil made me do it JP (thread hijack), got by son on first 19 patch on 23rd what a way to blood his 19. Using your conservative settings, son sends his thanks. 29.1 grams
  20. I`ll definitely stick to backing up to a hole against a tree base.
  21. Just a thought, note from other thread we are interested in the same reading matter, just wondering perhaps books may be another forum or sub titles to each forum, just a area we can go to where the book titles are together.
