  1. I'm anxious for that coil too. Just waiting for spring.
  2. That's a lot of finds. A beautiful spot to hunt. With all the finds, there has to be gold there.
  3. Great review. The Equinox 900 is looking good. I had some trouble with the 800 on land. It was great in the water. I think I know what I was doing wrong now. The 900 has me interested. I have the Legend and need to try some things with it this spring to decide if I want anything else. I was thinking about the D2 and know the 900 has me watching it. I may just stay with the Legend and pass on those. My Detectors: Nokta Legend, Xp Orx, Tesoro Tejon & Vaquaro, Nokta Gold Kruzer, Garrett AT Gold & Garrett Goldmaster 24k.
  4. Incredible story and incredible gold. I could just tell how excited your son was showing it to you. Beautiful bracelet.
  5. Will the D2 & Legend hit the tiny gold chain and earring with Id 1 & 2, that you got with the Nox 900?
  6. That was a worthwhile trip. You more than paid for the detector and trip. How was sweeping the Manticore 11" coil in the water compared to the Equinox 11" coil? Could you tell if it was the same or worse. Was the thinner shaft on the Manticore noticeable when sweeping in the water? It is impressive on gold sensitivity.
  7. I wonder if more coils are planned. I would like to see a 9" round coil with 1 stabilizer bar across the coil like Xp coils. I am liking the Legend a lot. No new detectors for me right now. I keep watching to see what Garrett comes out with. I'm also wondering why the controller on the Legend weighs 1 lb at the top of the handle. I weighted it. I know the battery is in the controller and it adds weight. Better build quality adds weight. My detectors: Nokta Legend, Tesoro Tejon, Xp Orx, Nokta Gold Kruzer & Garrett 24k. Planning on getting a used Nokta Gold Racer. The gold detectors have incredible separation.
  8. It will be great relic hunting coil and I'm looking forward to see if it will be my lake hunter. Will be testing it on a gold ring in a sandy beach this spring. I wonder why the top of the coil isn't flat. Is that for looks or is there a reason for that.
  9. Nice you can get out detecting. Beach looks great.
  10. Nice hunt. Looks like those electric socks and electric gloves are working.
  11. I'll be getting one or both of them. I would like to know the weight of them. I wish the manufactures would post the weight of there coils are like Nel's coils do.
  12. The Legend is turning out to be a great detector. My Equinox is gone now. I need more coils, like a 9" round and a 5.5x9 coils. I hope Nokta is doing ok. I'm a little worried about getting more coils.
  13. "Interesting observations I've been meaning to share/impart: Mode differences whilst hunting in thick nails: All Terrain High Conductors = Overall.....less sensitive to iron. More iron falsing. Deeper. Unmasks slightly better. All Terrain Low Conductors = Overall.....more sensitive to iron.,.,.,.,., yet, with better iron ID. Less iron falsing. Not quite as deep as All Terrain High Conductors. Adjacent target separates slightly better. Both Modes have/present virtually no 'conductive blind-spots'. In other words: both Modes are very sensitive to BOTH: high conductors AND low conductors."
  14. I like the design of the Xp coils with the brace angling down. That help in the water.
  15. Yes, that's why. How much would that affect sweeping in the water? Would it be noticeable?
