  1. That's interesting. It's good it not in the iron area.
  2. I found the T2se with dst in all metal to still be very deep. Put it in boost mode then all metal. All metal gets a boost.
  3. Welcome to the forum. Older detectors are still good but the real old ones are pretty much beyond use unless you want to reminisce with one.
  4. Yes, you can go back to different versions.
  5. Leaks happen but needs to be seen how the new Equinox's hold up and the Manticore hold up. We can hope there aren't many more leaks.
  6. The Garrett 24k max depth on a dime is about 7" and hits very soft. I did try one and it's best suited for gold nuggets. Nokta Gold Racer is better for nuggets, relics and coin hunting. I haven't tested the depth on this detector. It is quiet and seems a little deeper than the Gold Kruzer. It can use Nel coils too. It's not waterproof. Also the Nokta Gold Kruzer is a good gold, relic & coin hunter too. It will hit a dime at 8" to 9" and is waterproof. The Gold Kruzer is a little noisy with the the sensitivity turned high. It will hit a small gold ring at 11" in the sand.
  7. Talk to Monte. He knows this detector inside and out. This is his forum. https://www.ahrps.org/forums/list.php?2
  8. Fantastic finds. Congrats! I would love to find a gold ring like that.
  9. Winter storm hit northern Michigan too with lots of snow. It's almost spring lol.
  10. Yes, the controller is easily removed. With the 11" coil I hip mount it. It feels nice with the 6x9.5 coil.
  11. The nail head was down. I'll try it up. It will probably hit it up. There was no signal on the nail only. Coil 6x9.5. Settings iron bias 1, stability 4, recovery 3 (will try higher recovery) probably will help, sensitivity 30, Pitch.
  12. If there is large iron underground and a coin off to side on top. You will not hear the coin. It's strange. The large iron overpowers the coin signal. I was just testing that with the Legend. Using a very large nail (1/4" in dia) standing straight up with coin about 2" above and 2" to the left. There is no sound. Move the coin over the nail and it hits the coin. We have a huge amount of nonferrous targets masked with iron. According to Nasa Tom about 5% of nonferrous is found in iron. The rest all masked.
  13. I would like to see it having 40 khz also. I'm surprised it doesn't.
  14. To see how deep it can go on a nickel in the sand. I've seen the Deus 2 and Manticore tested how deep it can hit a nickel. I haven't seen the Legend tested this way. I would like to know. I'll know in a couple more months when I test it myself. I'm hoping it's right there close with the Deus 2 & Manticore.
