Treasure Are The Adventure Of Finding It
Rick N. MI replied to Ridge Runner's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
You've been digging! A lot coins. How many different detectors involved? -
I sent an email to Dilek about it. Tone break shouldn't do that. Will be interesting to see the next update. At least the Legend is working a lot better with those setting. M1 doesn't separate well. Single frequencies won't make a chirp on the coin which is surprising. Nokta will make the Legend even better finding these things out. Try the settings and let us know how it works for you. Nasa Tom probably does know. I posted it on his forum too.

A Summary Of My First Season With The Deus 2
Rick N. MI replied to Brad Plohman's topic in XP Deus II Forum
Nice. The rings look all new. -
If you want incredible separation in iron, this setting is it. Park or Field Disc Pattern: F, notch foil if you don't want it or C M2 or M3 Tone Break 1, this is what makes the separation incredible. For some reason Tone Break is affecting separation. Iron Filter 1, Stability 4 Try it out. This make the Legend separation as good as anything.

That's interesting. Thanks for the post Jeff.

Another 2022 Release From Minelab?
Rick N. MI replied to ☠ Cipher's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
A 2nd release could be even better. -
Nice hunt. The rings are great. The Legend is doing it's job. Gold rings in general are above foil. The tiny gold is in the foil range. I would knock out the foil with disc at 11. If you start getting gold rings then go thru in the foil range to see if you can get tiny gold. What settings were you using?

Great hunt. Nice your able to get out. Also nice seeing the rings. Especially the gold. The D2 did a great job.

Good to hear the Legend is doing good. Nice finds too.

"Got to try out Manticore for 2 hours straight tailored to my hearing and under the watchfull eye of the detexpert. When VLF discrimination is needed, when VLF depth is needed, when VLF speed is needed. At this moment in time. I will only hunt with Minelab Manticore. XP D2 is up for sale. And Minelab Manticore is on it’s way." That's a bold statement. I have all winter to wait. I want to see some video comparisons with the D2 and Manticore. Right now it's looking like the Manticore could be the winner.

I wonder what the update could have.

Another great hunt. Nice gold ring. I'm going to have to get those heated socks and gloves. It's 20F today here. I wiped 6" of snow off my car and we got another 3" or 4". Winter is here for me. 5 months of winter in northern Michigan. The D2 is doing it's job.

Buttons, Buckle And Other Stuff
Rick N. MI replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Wow, you are cleaning up that site. It looks like that deus 2 is working really well for you. I might have to get one. Just waiting to see what the Manticore can do. -
Jeff, how do set up the Equinox & Legend in heavy iron to reduce the iron falsing? Do you turn up iron bias? I've always ran mine F2 0. I turn the sensitivity down but there is still a lot of falsing. I guess I should use iron bias sometimes. With the Equinox I always hunt in 2 tone with tone break at 1 sometimes to 11. Beach & water tone break 0. I've never used notching. I was wondering if notching out iron helps with falsing. I'm liking my AT Gold I picked up and I got a Nel Superfly. Separation is surprisingly good. It came with 8.5x11 coil I don't care for much. It's heavy. I'll be adding 5x8 and Viper 6x11. My detectors are: Equinox 800, Legend, Orx, F19 coming, AT Gold, Tejon, Vaquaro & Gold Kruzer

Fur Trade & Gold Rush Sites In One Day!
Rick N. MI replied to Cal_Cobra's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
A great hunt. Had to be a lot of fun there. How did the ebikes do? -
I see you don't mind spiders on you lol. I would be knocking that spider off of me. I don't like digging up earthworms either or cutting them in half. I don't know if they survive after putting them back in the ground. Nobody has sympathy for ticks. Chickens around my house eat them lol and everything else they can find.

Back To The 9 Today, Spectacle'ur!
Rick N. MI replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
I love digging square nails lol and keep the ones I find. They are scarce in northern Michigan. One of the reason I like relic hunting with my Tejon. It's hits on iron bigger than a regular nail. It's single tone but has a language and I know when I'm digging iron. If I want iron relics I use my Tejon. None of my other detectors find all the iron relics like the Tejon can.- 28 replies
