Like lipca said just type in their search box at cdnc what you are looking for. For instance to narrow things down to big gold finds for your area. Type calaveras lump or nugget or rich diggings. Most big finds back then in those papers had those terms for the big ones. You can use the word gold too, but youll get alot of results to look thru. I use that word last. Also if down there had pocket gold type calaveras rich pocket. And you should find some good pocket finds in the thousands of dollars. Usually 1880 and up. When pockets became famous.
