Yeah, I've had that same feeling for a couple years now?  Possibly that much (if not most...??) of the gold is traded in the futures market on speculation where most the contracts bought/sold never actually take possession of the physical gold. Possibly kinda manipulating price back and forth, flipping? That's just a guess on my part. Myself...  bullion and dug gold allows me to sleep at night with no worries, unlike watching stocks like a hawk. First time in 30 yrs I've been completely outta stocks, made a lot and lost a lot, don't miss it one bit. Gold been a store of value for 6000 yrs., recognized around the world, and will never be worth zero. If it gets real bad, most likely only ammo, food, firewood and fishing poles could replace the yellow stuff....???  jmo's

A guy came by my place looking to buy a quad I had for sale. He was a realtor, gave me his card, asked if I wanted to sell my place, etc.  Asked him what he thought it was worth and I about shat my pants... about 5.5 times what I paid for it 28 yrs ago. You've got a point about real estate......

yep... all of those little pickers I have that are not too impressive, may now have paid for my gas.  Oh wait ... that went up, too!! ?

You might as well get rid of them. The GPX-6000 is flooding the market.  ?

You can bet the prices on those old and new , will go up as long as gold does.

LOL.  now that's funny.  I don't think the GPX-6000 will get you too much more in my neck of the woods.  I already get sizes less than half a grain.  (it takes a while to get in the scoop)  But you never know.  I am waiting for a bigger jump in technology before I trade in my GPZ.

I am with you there. 960 nuggets of ½ grain to make a Troy ounce, even if they are shallow, is that many holes worth the bragging rights. Stick with you GPZ and get the bigger deeper ones. It is not? where runs counts but weight does the same as sixes does to your score.

My take on gold, when you have a gold coin, it’s yours and you don’t owe anyone anything for it.

But the best part is, nobody owes you!

Well that didn't last long, I see the spot price of gold is going back down, below $2000 now!

That's just the paper futures market Skip. Local gold dealers are paying well over spot and buy prices are all still well over $2,000.

This disconnect between the paper and physical markets has been going on for nearly a year.
