Does he beach hunt a lot and if so what machine ? My friend is an accomplished beach user of the CTX and Equinox. He always called the Deus 1 his favorite dirt hunting machine. It was because of his knowledge of Deus 1 we were able to write programs better than the stock beach programs. No one is accomplished on the Deus 2 yet. 2 hours ago, Carolina said: My Deus under salt conditions before my update had no problem with a 14k band 5.5 grams at 16 inches measured. I have no doubt the Deus 2 may have the capability of pulling a 16" gold ring. Just not at the beaches we tested and not in factory programs. 😉
Bluetube1000
Curious if you turned off the Nox while the D2 was over targets? Even 10’ away still interferes with Deus.

Bud-sc
Sorry but I don't know beaches your hunting but I am getting 4-6 inches more depth on my D2 compared to my buddy's Equinox. I have pulled wedding bands at 18 inches. I have hunted a beach where there was 3 Equinox users they were not finding nothing while I was digging my butt off. Reason because everything was at the point of detection depth. I dug over 120 holes that day found both the wedding ring and engagement ring plus a gold earring. I had a Equinox 800 I knew it inside out matter in fact I was the first one in the state of SC to get one learned the machine in a few days. The Deus 2 for me was nothing to learn I am into tech in a big way(second hobby). The deepest beach setting is fulltones or a 2 tone program. YES!!! Ever beach is different. The beaches I hunt EMI is a killer because of the cellphone towers and then you have WiFi boosters on the condos and Beach houses drives the Equinox crazy and also the Deus 2. The D2 you can switch over the to regular beach program that usually helps with the chatter from the EMI. Now comparing targets me and my buddy did this for a month long. I ID quarters on the D2 in the 90's while he was getting -2-4-5 sometimes a 21 or 27. The quarters roughly 12-16 inches deep. Remember Minelab had to do a update because of quarters they would ring up in the negatives. That was the first update. Another thing is the Equinox has a software issues with gold pendants with holes. Sometimes the Equinox will hear them and sometimes it want. My buddy's settings on his nox is 22 on sensitivity... 5 recovery speed...all metal...50 tones. The pictures below are rings I found on beaches where there are 3-5 guys hunting with Equinox's. I had my D2 since February.....
