On the beach I would choose the Terra. Though I would have the and got the 900 too. Terra is waterproof. The Vanquish sounds off on seaweed too. Fewer numbers and you can't do much on settings. Have the Nox 900 and Terra.

Hi, if your filter out all the 'extras' and just focus low-cost... Vanquish 340. It's a winning machine on the beach. The 'Jewelry mode' works very well, it is stable in wet sand (dry obviously no problem) and you will be surprised by its depth and stability of identification. It's impressive how the redhead works... But for a little more you can buy the Xt Pro. And you won't regret it. Even more than the extras, as you say, is the Recovery Speed and the Ground Balance that you can configure to your liking. You're going to need it as soon as things get a little complicated. But It's SF...and multi IQ works. Difficult selection. I like the Vanquish series... Those coins is dry sand with the Xt Pro in Park 2, Automatic GB and Tracking ON -15 kHz-. He loves gold...As you get closer to the water, you lower the sensitivity and reduce the Recovery speed to 1 and...what a coin shoter !!!! One of those 'extras' is that it is IP68 certified. And that's not just anything... Five meters underwater is a new search niche. It's not an Excalibur but it works... 14 rings under a game platform!!. Eight of silver, missing the most beautiful one that my wife has already kept. Audio is far superior on the new Xt Pro. Difficult selection...
mcjtom
How does X Terra behave in the wet salt with black sand for instance? Somehow I thought that removing both types of ground signals at once was difficult to achieve in single frequency kits? Wet salt with black sand = 'problems' with the Xt Pro and with the Vanquish series. At 340-440 his high iron bias won't help you either... I have tested it diving in rocky and medium mineralized areas and it works perfectly. I don't know how they did it, I know it works. And very good. mcjtom
The Equinox coils will work on X Terra, but the Vanquish coils will not - is that correct?

All the Nox coils (Coiltek included) works on Xt Pro. The Vanquish series uses different connectors. Â
StarVatrex
Last night I couldn't sleep, it's very hot. And I went down to the beach to take a bath... The sea was calm and like a mirror, I decided to go for the Xt pro to wade for a while. Result, I found myself wading without a Scoop, without a flashlight and without shoes. And the party started!... All this is done in just 1 hour and a half, using my hands to pick up the targets (and taking a dip in the process)...So funny. In one of these I almost lost the detector, I was not able to locate it and I decided to turn ON all Lights. Screen light at maximum (it looks like a torch in the dark of night) and back light ON. It's interesting and it also focuses on the coil, not the shaft... On the same shore, a clear and loud 23 sounded. My heart was put into a fist, I turned 180 degrees, another 23 without hesitation and my brain already knew it... Male Gold wedding band, I needed that one to complete the set this month. Marked 750, 18k. I upload the photo of the silver ring that was missing, my wife has kept it. And of the two wedding bands together. You never know where the Gold is, and suddenly Bang!...🙃
StarVatrex
Hi, here I leave you the last two hunts. A Gold earring came out in the first and a 'curious' Silver ring in the second... The Xt Pro will already have been submerged in salt water for about 50 hours and like the first day. 😎
StarVatrex
I have made a count of the Gold found. There have been 12 pieces. 2 medals, 1 earring and 9 rings (7 of them wedding bands). All in the water and on the shore except for one medal found in dry sand. 37.88 grams today. For now the most heavy piece, a man's ring, 6.76 gr. All the pieces are 18k except three that are 14k. As I already imagined summer is going to be fun. I'm going for 25 pieces! And this year I expect to finish above 2 ounces...😉
