cuniagau
Finding gold is fun but researching where it is from takes it to a higher level. I dug a 12.12-gram gold necklace this morning at one of the beaches that I frequent. It is hallmarked 610 and A. HOA on the links by the clasp. It is 20 inches long. It has 8 long hollow links, and the rest of the links are small and solid. This design is not a typical chain find for me. I have taken several pictures in hopes that someone on the forum will recognize the design and help me at least find the country of origin. If my math is correct the 610 hallmarks would be 14.64K even though I did see it listed as 15K on one or two sites on the internet. I also tested it on my electronic tester, and it tested on the higher side of 14K. I tried to get pics of the hallmarks, but the iPhone didn't want to focus on them. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, Joe

mn90403
Great looking chain. I've been stumped by all the jewelry marks also. Numbers vs ks is some sort of indicator. I have little going on up here with the extreme tides but I saw 7 detectorists with their lights on the beaches I go to. I went to another beach that had no detectorists but also no targets! Valens Legacy
Beautiful necklace that you saved, just don't let the wife see it or she is going to claim it for herself. Great hunt and I wish you luck on your next outing.
StarVatrex
Guau!!!! I've been looking for something like this for years, congratulations. I only have two pieces with that caratage. According to my trusted jeweler, very common in Central Europe as a result of the Second World War... That in the scoop would look like a snake, what a joy. 😁

cuniagau
The 610 hallmark on each side of clasp. Back side reads A.HOA iPhones are not the best for closeups!
