Couple Of Field Coins.

Even though 2coinsback.thumb.jpg.5b56ebcfdbc964597116d2f81cb0d2d3.jpg2coinsfront.thumb.jpg.4a51c01728194f748b05d90cbf914e10.jpgit was dug from a field that use to be ploughed, it was lost just after the farmer got it.

Wow, an elusive 20c piece.  Those show up almost never.  Congrats on some fine looking history!

“Go West Young Man, Go West!”  Should have been  “Go West Young Man, Go West with your Pocket Change!”  
Apparently none of the eldest sons headed out to the West but stayed on to inherit the farm. Great finds, I’m jealous.

I second that sentiment.

Even Monte, who lived and detected in silver country for ~6 decades, never found one.  Only about 11/4 million were ever minted with any date/mintmark.
