  1. Past hour
  2. If there were one thing I don’t like about the Manticore it’s the short battery life and how long it takes to get it back up to full charge. If any detector could use an under arm battery it’s the manticore. But it’s tolerable as it is for my needs. I rarely detect 8-10 hours in one hunt. Usually half that.
  3. Today
  4. Which we will likely never see from Minelab. Mark Lawrie once said in an Interview that among other things, the reason for that is it would limit them too much going forward to what power source can be crammed into a coil @ 4:15
  5. Could it be an update to Voyager 🤔 I think a XTP with multi iq would come to close to the Nox series🤔
  6. My guess is that it’s going to be another X-Terra (that’s the X factor), but with Multi-IQ. It will fit right between the X-Terra Pro and Equinox 600 just as EL NINNO77 said. But what if Minelab has really lost their marbles and are looking to compete with the FindX and the waterproof FindX Pro. Could the X factor be that? I highly doubt it, but it crossed my mind.
  7. Could someone who has the M9 try putting it in an Equinox series, please? If I were Minelab, I would release this new detector with Manticore compatible coils. But in the commercial it says it's Multi IQ (not plus), which pisses me off. On the other hand, Minelab releases the M9 in May, 20 days before, you sell it with great success, and in June you release the new detector with the M9 (perfect for water). Anyway, I would release a new "Pulsedive" with Multi IQ... Aquatic, affordable, and perfect for the summer, selling it in June. In 15 days we will know.
  8. One thing we all need to remember Ron and that’s Minelab has made every kind of detector on the market. For that reason they don’t have to figure out what works because they already know. Just like I was talking about the SDC 2300 within a short time they could come out with a lighter detector and not waterproof with the option of different coils it will sell . They don’t even have to think of a new name other than maybe say SDC 2300 light. All I’m going to ask who’s got it in stock. Chuck
  9. When I was in Townsville, Carol wanted a hair cut. As we were going across the crossing she saw a large spill of Aussy decimal coins on the Zebra crossing. I think it was the largest concentration of finds of coins in one spot for her. It took her three crossing between the green lights to get them all. I think some one must of dropped a bag of coins there.
  10. Yah, I guess we can always predict when Minelab’s next releases will take place and what kind of detector it will be as it is usually right after the competitors have a new release. Minelab just has to add a couple of extra bells and whistles. 🫢 I wonder what they will have coming to compete with the Storm and Algoforce?
  11. It is logical that minelab wants to fill a place in its line of detectors, and put on the market a detector that is somewhere between the X-Terra Pro detector and the Equinox 600/700, 800/900 family of detectors. One thing must be said here... that Minelab did not hurry and wait for what the competition will put on the market in this price segment... So I'm expecting a Vanquish class entry, but I feel that the new multi-frequency detector will already have a ground balance...

  13. I'm going to Rye Patch tomorrow. I've read your post and adjusted my settings to match yours. I've watched your videos. Hopefully I'll have some success. Where you hunt is sometimes more important than what you hunt with. I hope I'm not going back behind you because you are pretty thorough. I'm going to have some fun with 3 new platforms. Mitchel
  14. Once again a nice array of finds that you have to show for your efforts and I'm quite envious of the very early sites that you have access to and are able to hunt. As I gaze at the photo of the woods my mind begins to wander and my imagination runs wild and gets the better of me. I wonder what treasures must lie beneath those boulders and the roots of all of those trees that have grown in decades after the original occupation but before the first detectorist arrived on the scene. On a site like that one there must be a lot of great targets that just can't be had or even seen by any detector. Just my opinion.
  15. I’d go for a lightweight SDC 2300 Minelab just anytime you want to give it to me. I’ve had two of the others but never needed it waterproof and don’t plan on getting it wet out in desert country. I must say I do like the way it fold’s up but I would like it so not to be a pain in the backside to change out a coil to another. When it’s ready to ship I’ll let you know what dealer I wanted it shipped to. Chuck
  16. I’d say Minelab is running at full throttle thinking how they can put the fire out before Nokta can even get it going. I’m hoping I’m wrong but I think Nokta is on borrowed time and if they going to ever do something it best be soon. I hope the name for Nokta new PI say a lot for it. It would be great if someone in the USA has been informed they are the winner of the naming contest. Chuck
  17. Hi Goldseeker, The Minelab GPX 5000 is now available again at $4595.00. I have new ones ready and available to ship, so if anyone is interested, we can make a deal. Rob
  18. Hey phrunt What kind of price does Nokta have on their PI ? For myself I haven’t seen any price and to think of it I haven’t seen any detector. In fact we named a detector but haven’t been told what that is. Sad to say but I don’t think Minelab has much to worry about anything right now. But yet we don’t know what tomorrow brings. Chuck
  19. After we left you and went back north we met up with my nephew who lives in Auckland. He told us that he snowboards. We asked how often he goes to Queenstown and he said not often. He said it would be cheaper to go to Japan than down south. I don't know what factors he considered but I think air/hotel/lift ticket. We had not considered it even comparable. I haven't been to Japan. I thought that would be expensive.
  20. Even without the coin I'd say that day you found "something good". WITH the coin , it's a WTG day !
  21. A can of marker paint would be easy enough. Good luck and enjoy your time out!
  22. Noktas keeping them on their toes. No doubt it will have ground balance and be better than the Vanquish for design too. I love competition. Next will be the lower priced PI to compete with the Algoforce and Nokta PI.
  23. Nice display George ! 👍 🤔It's like a who's who of coin royalty got together for a reunion.
  24. I've got a monster like that, but without any cracks. I wondered, for about 3 years, what it was, and finally realized it was jasper. It weighs 45 lbs. I've never seen anything like it in southeastern Idaho. Looked all over where I found it without finding another one with similar color and texture...of any size. A real anomaly.
