  1. All good info seems you are setting it pretty clear to the companies on what we need saved them a bunch of R and D Hope some one figures it out untill then I need at least a vlf and pi
  2. Ceril I have a modified 2200 and it gets deep gold with the large coil u can try it if you want I also have a moded 5000 it will change your mind for sure at a outing I will bring I them if I can Lots of family cancer show going on now so maybe in a few month seeing is knowing good luck Does not really amount to the detector as much as the operator knowing what to look for on the ground lots of reading on prospecting looking for the right rocks pays off best I have found a lot with out a detector just breaking bedrock and looking at quartz like the old timers did pays of way better for me Still need to get the 5000 back so time varies on that offer
  3. Sad news but as said his health was bad for a few years if the razzed you he liked it was to see how you were and maybe because he liked you for one tough man his heart and honesty was second to non He had helped so many with his golden pointy finger and that damn dingier worked 100% I was very fortunate to be in his life the past 20 yrs As he was one of the original four that made the WSPA A small prospecting / metal detecting club to show members how to find and use detectors to find and identify mineral GOLD Deposits On our own claims Mr B Godspeed my friend and his family you will be missed by many
  4. Pretty bad move guess the used 5000 s Will go up in value maybe they got mad over all the ones who modify it and make it better Feels sour
  5. Worst I did was go to Montana fly fishing and forgot my reels stopes in Dillon Montana to my sweet spot and damn no reels Had to go to the store and buy one thank god they had the Loomas reels at a good price spent that Christmas fishing the Clark fork 25 degrees cast bring it in dip in the river to unfreeze then cast again it was finnaly a good day catch and release every cast plan was go to seAttle and home missed the good spot been lucky on the detector stuff did for get the pick once but used sticks We all do it as long as you make it home safe and don’t leave your detector I hear of that happening a few Times dohh
  6. In the past I feel most held there knowledge close to the cuff so to say I agree there is a lot of info and a lot Knowledge that is shared now days the known gold fields have been beet to hell and now most are going after scraps it dose not take long time for 2/3 guys now days with the tech to clean it up prospectors need to be that prospectors and work out side the box if you are going to make great finds 25 yrs of watching a lot of people the big Jauns are rare thanks again for being so free on info it helps us all The days of the sun Bakers are soon to fold away my 2 centavos
  7. Thanks Steve for the info it should help a lot of people out getting started The best detector is the one you use and learn most are capable once you learn how to use it I still have a old gold bug it has its place
  8. Has anyone ever used silver wire in a coil being the most conductive metal it would be expensive could it be beneficial to even use it
  9. Everybody is on it above I figure the old timers counting color going up the draw you see we’re they stopped No more flour not enough to pay we’ll all the light stuff shuts off and some times going above the draws were the old timers stopped well the heavy’s don’t move much and it can pay well the old timers were very efficient in most places so if you see a clay layer work it and don’t bother thinking they missed much below that as one said the only pay in the draw is working is the sluff that came in in the past 100 years go above there workings most ridges were gulches as it erodes away kind of a high low high low in the erosion for millions or billions in some places as you work and put in the time you get a Sence to follow like the old timers had every day working hard for years they get a natural instinct and if you put in that time so will you It’s out there and they only thing that pays off is hard work and a lot of research Best of luck to you as ide rather be luck than smart
  10. Chet that is some good work looking for gold test with gold you have the know how For sure interesting info Thanks for sharing
  11. D4gold It’s the whites gold master Will like to see some better testing
  12. Seems we are fortunate especially now days every one here looks top notch to me especially other dealers backing there others it’s a real sweet Thing golden
  13. made a mistake with my order I knew he was on it and wanted to correct my mistake he got in touch and sending me the right one and the other letting me send back my mistake no extreme fees a spot on guy and you won’t go wrong with him he cares enought and cares respect over buisness a real trooper thanks for making my mistake pay off and deal with it like a trooper not many left like that these days Thanks Rob for stepping up to the plate and shine thanks
  14. We’ll I guess my 5000 ain’t missing much with the correct settings Modified stronger not modified ain’t missing much now we need To do A speci test like to see that no detector does it all but I’ll stick to the modes2200 and a 5000 and a gold master for the piles but I am tempted honestly to modify the 5000 ?
  15. That was no easy feat Better than a skunk for your B Day
  16. We are not all conspiracy minded wish you the best and hope you prevail on your conquest best of luck
  17. Lucky no doubt you do way better than most thanks for sharing it’s a good reminder that it’s still out there
  18. lunk as you know there is a lot of area up there and no one gets it all I admire your hard work and rethinking we’re you have been before good for you You have earned everyone as we all do your experience is worthy of printing for sure
  19. Hard to beat Chris Ralph and his experience being a certified geologist and all he was always out there to share his experience and a true golden man I hope he is happy in his retirement if you get the chance to meet him he is very helpful
  20. With all the timing options on the 5000 it is not easy to run there is a learning curve so to say and we try to find the best in our specific areas I will back off on the shielding I do know with the lithium battery and booster it some how made it more stable and with the recovery during those long days of nothing you know it is working and that keep your mindset in a better place to win If you have any doubts about your machine you need to back off re group and practice more till you get past that I have a moded SD2200 so I know I am not missing any big gold deep With the 5000 know I feel it will find the patches when they are there The SD still hits on the quartz gold with the 8 inch mono in my areas so who is the best setup looks like we will find out here pretty quick Lots of golden info out there Thanks again
  21. Gerry wow it tells the story pretty clean I always have my gold master / old one that I use to find the patch then work from there with the PI It’s amazing what one can hear and another nothing but man your stories and pics make me think I need a lesson or two to get out of my righteous mindset Thanks for opening up my vision hell we are always learning right Thanks
  22. I had a client who had mayor mines in this area scary story And I may do research before posting it to make it as true as possible but I saw the 75 lbs gold bar he was given as a gift for his endeavor there a brutal place to do business Beyond my skin so to say Thanks for the tales much more hygrade was opened up I digress till I get the story from the snakes mouth so to say I understand major gold was found in Afghanistan Also during the war like nevada oo of au gold reef stories I will work on this it is amazing what you can find on this planet 750 oz to the ton is child’s play it bends the mind
  23. With all the big military bases in the desert you get some strange stuff going on chirps and such like the idea of shielding the detector the filters tend to loose efficiency and calm the noise but you can miss gold I am going to do the copper tape on the 5000 and see how that works makes clean sense to me Especially with the lithium battery and boaster it was a different machine big old cord quess it was picking up the EMI noise more than we thought Saving funds to send it off to one of the guys doing mods I hate to think about selling my moded SD 2200 by issamel Maybe the moded 5000 is better than most a lot to think about and our season is just beginning I do want the most confidence in the machine as to not worry about those long days of no signal and fight the doubt that happens to us all A real viper in the mix right Thanks again to you all
  24. Thanks everyone so much seeing everyone discuss this and share is wonderful and I hope we are all learning something sure rite about Woody getting picked on years ago hell we are all a fickle bunch in this detector game I think to answer I have a ismal modifided SD00 it blows my mind sometimes Now with my old 5000 which blew my mind and got a lot of dirt from you all AU guys with my 14 inch deep Gram nugget I found all I had was a battery pack and audio booster and the nugget finder 17 inch oval That all then it seemed the removal of large bat and less cables helped a lot may be less interference but it hit hard maybe got a good one It’s all so interesting these timings settings day detected ground type of gold all vary in so many ways it diabolical Thanks for all the help
